I understand though the eyes of a man. I would not mind being born a woman. Because I would be a lesbian. I would be the happies man on earth.

No, I''m not bother by their Sexuality. I just don't like it when they get on there and said we don't want any men asking us to be a friend. They say NO MEN.

I just think that is't rude for them to say "NO MEN alowed". That sucks. We like lesbian.gays, and bisexual as well as heterosexual.I just don't think they should exclude men just because they are men.Yahoo! 360 is for everyone. If they want it just for lesbian then they should set up a seperate site. I just don't think that statement should be alow to exclude anyone. If they don't want to correspond with someone that's okay with me. This is what I'm trying to get at.

Lesbians are begrudgingly accepted as 'safe' especially if they have given birth multiple times. It is a bit of a trend, though, with many TV shows seeing it as hip & o-k.

Homosexuality and bisexuality are more acceptable in today's society than they ever have been in the past. In fact, in many circles it's "cool" or "hip" to be gay or bi. The homosexual and bisexual community also has a powerful ally -- the mainstream liberal media. It's a given that they are supporters of anything contrary to Christianity because Christianity is their Public Enemy Number One (the miltary being their Public Enemy Number Two). Any institution that purports any type of moral or ethical code completely undercuts their mantra of "No rules, no boundaries, I am my own god and decide what is right and wrong based on what I feel, regardless of the wants/needs/feelings of anyone else." That's why TV is only too happy to show lesbians and bisexual women -- they're perfect examples of people who are committing sinful, immoral acts and basically behave like six-year-olds saying "I want to do what I want!" Their worlds are all about them. Small worlds indeed.

As far as TV is concerned, all I can say is Thank God. Lesbians need a posotive portrayal of themselves in the media.
As for Y360, the internet is a great place to find like minded individuals.

why are we portrayed in today's society? because we're part of the society. :) i think it's because we feel more comfortable now then we did before. earlier in the century, you didn't see lesbians and bisexual women coming out of the closet because, perhaps, we weren't an open society. things were less accepted--as we interracial marriages?
