I like to watch the Yahoo Favorites site and check out these countries' favorite stories and pictures.

Italy almost always has about half of the photos being sexy semi-nudy babes. Germany's favorites are almost always cartoons. And France is just find of bland.

What does this say abouit these countries???

I'm a Catholic musician, and our Pope recently mused, at a concert he attended, that the church music needs to give Gregorian chant back its position of primacy.

If your pastor asked you to drop the musical instruments and accompaniment, put the boots to "Be Not Afraid" and "Amazing Grace", and start chanting in Latin, what would you do to scratch your urge to sing joyfully? Try to learn to do it, or start a praise or gospel group outside of church?

My parents were JW's a long time ago when I was a little girl. There are a lot of things that don't make sense to me about this religion (not to bash it in anyway). Why do you force your children to go out and knock on people's doors, subjecting them to a world of rejection at a much too tender age? Why do you discourage your children from associating with other kids that don't attend your congregational meetings? Why is it bad to celebrate ones birthday, which is just a celebration of ones life? Why do you discourage forming friendships with the oposite sex? Why do you discourage (or did) higher education? From what I have seen (with my own eyes and life) this results in rebelion from children. Most of the kids I knew/met who where JW's where worse then the kids i knew who had no religious structure at all. Please explain to me how this is spirituality in God's eyes?

...then WTF was God doing for 4000 years? And, if Christianity, (which is the "only true religion") didnt exist until that point, what does that say about God?
Furthermore, if God is all loving and all forgiving, why was he so evil as to make the poor Israelites walk in a desert for 40 years as punishment?? I thought that if I beleived, I was forgiven - yet they were punished. He also slaughtered the children of his followers and commited many other acts that I hardly can define as compassionate or all loving.....

God create adam on 6th day. Now most ( many) Christians claim that GOD's day was longer than ours 24 . Apologiest saying its around 700 years of our time.
Well in that case Adam was in Eden at least for 2 days since on 7th day GOD got tired and decide to have a day off.
And according to the sam autor Adam lived till 930 years old. So spending just 2 days in eden while GOD was completing his creation story Adam would be already over 930.
Any ideas how to interconnect the galaxies so we can get a better ? May be something like 1+1+1=3 ? I am jsut trying to figure out by using primitive math. SO if some1 knows better math let me know. THanks.

Many ministries today spend alot of time focusing on money and events inside of the house (church). A ministry should spend time on the outside of the 4 walls in the community. There is a need for Christians to show God's love to people who have less, people on drugs, broken marriages and the list goes on. We have young people in the streets and instead of Christians supporting young people the judge them. Everything is about money...Where is the programs for single mothers, seniors, those with AIDS, people in and out relationships and you can surely add to this list. Even the TV ministries seek money all the time and whats truly crazy we send money to those on TV and won't help in our own communities. Ministry is about charging people lives and building them spiritually. Please share with me what you think ministry should be.
