Many ministries today spend alot of time focusing on money and events inside of the house (church). A ministry should spend time on the outside of the 4 walls in the community. There is a need for Christians to show God's love to people who have less, people on drugs, broken marriages and the list goes on. We have young people in the streets and instead of Christians supporting young people the judge them. Everything is about money...Where is the programs for single mothers, seniors, those with AIDS, people in and out relationships and you can surely add to this list. Even the TV ministries seek money all the time and whats truly crazy we send money to those on TV and won't help in our own communities. Ministry is about charging people lives and building them spiritually. Please share with me what you think ministry should be.

Religion is a business, just like any other business.

And is invented by men who want to play God.

Did you ever stop to think that all these wonderful programs you say that churches should be involved in COST MONEY to finance? Ever stop and wonder what Malachi was trying to say about tithes being used for the betterment of the Church's outreach? It takes money to reach out to people! Granted, there are those who build palatial edifices supposedly for the glory of God, but WE are the Temple of God today. The money DOES need to go to keep churches' lights on, supplies in the bathrooms, aiding the local ministry to the sick and shut-ins and etc., but if there is any community outreach, it takes money too! Yes, there is a need for greater witness and spiritual leadership, but someone has to gas the automobiles, buy the food, etc.....Just a thought.......

I cant speak for all those on TV, I'm sure there are good ones and bad. It takes a lot of money to build, furnish and pay utilities in a church building. There is usually some sort of missions programs and the pastors salary. Some churches do more out reach than others, and that costs a lot. Feeding the hungry, youth projects, missions trips, these are all good, but cost a lot.

I think many ministries are scams, and to me, this is a sign - if a ministry is more concerned with your money than with you, run, don't walk, from it.
