The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.
-Albert Einstein

I realize that every generation says this about the next, but it seems todays youth are pre-occupied with material things, are more prone to depression and scuicide, are dis-interested in global affairs to the point of ignorance. Is wealth an issue and what factors have caused this?

my name is rungta. I have had a lot of experience and gone to see Sathya Sai Baba many times. From everything that I have experienced I think that he is God 100%. I just don't understand why he does what he does.

What do they mean when they say that a hippie type figure called Jesus loves me and died for my sins? I didn't ask anybody tobe tortured and killed for me. Ok, even if he dies for my sins-good.
Why are they saying these to me? Do I need to say--"Ok, that guy died for my sins--HE's COOL!!" Who the hell are you to judge me as a sinner???

You might find this question a proactive one, as the answer is self-evident. But considering the process of dehumanization carried out by the racist Zionists in palestine, using the American media, makes the question less ridiculous than it sounds. Palestinians will continue to defend themselves to the last drop of blood against the racist barbaric zionists genocides, especially when the whole world, have failed them.

I want to start a new religion. One that looks after more people, doesn't discriminate, encourages caring, love, hope, giving.
I think the original religions are outdated. Old books that teach people a way of living even though they may no longer apply to the modern world.
I don't see why we can't have a religion that takes the best bits from all of them. The Buddhist idea of having someone who teaches an ideal instead of a god, the Christian idea of love thy neighbour, even the cow is sacred as in the Hindu religion.
If there can be scientology, Karbalah (sorry for spelling) and The Children of God cult, why can't we have a new major religion that guides people in a better way of living...
It seems religion is failing people in the modern world, people have lost faith in an ideal way of living.
I'm not religious myself, but it seemed there was much more order in society when Christianity had more of a hold in Britain. I am not however NOT for the deep south anti gay/black mentallity.

I would really like to read serious responses from people who actually know what this is like.

Do they like their job? Make lots of money? Feel uncomfortable at times? What is a typical shift like? What are the hours they typically work?

Either you are a straight guy who is/was a coctail waiter at a gay bar, you are/were friends with a straight guy who worked as a coctail waiter at a gay bar or you go/went to gay bars regularly and you know how straight guys working as coctail waiters are treated.

I would also like to know if your response is refering to a large or small gay bar, in a large or small town and if that changes anything.

Thanks in advance for your responses!

Would you agree that in every religion put to date, that everyone has a different god. They had zues just to mention one, and he was supposedly great, doing "miracles" of lightning, poisedon, etc. Think of all the greek gods and their powers. Just like our god, they had great followers, and every time lightning struck, it was because zues was angry.

I truethfully like the statement that god is only as powerfull as the ammount of people who follow him. It shows us that once people stop believing, he will sieze to exist. In other words, he is a figure of our imagination, and when massive ammounts of people imagine the same thing, it can seem quite real at times.

Who agrees with me?

I am a christian and I have a few friends that are Pagan but I have never asked them why or what it is that they do. They are nice people but should I stay away from them since I was told that the bible says that is one religion christians need to stay away from. I have never found that and I thought you were suppose to love everyone no matter what they believe. can someone help me?
