I want to start a new religion. One that looks after more people, doesn't discriminate, encourages caring, love, hope, giving.
I think the original religions are outdated. Old books that teach people a way of living even though they may no longer apply to the modern world.
I don't see why we can't have a religion that takes the best bits from all of them. The Buddhist idea of having someone who teaches an ideal instead of a god, the Christian idea of love thy neighbour, even the cow is sacred as in the Hindu religion.
If there can be scientology, Karbalah (sorry for spelling) and The Children of God cult, why can't we have a new major religion that guides people in a better way of living...
It seems religion is failing people in the modern world, people have lost faith in an ideal way of living.
I'm not religious myself, but it seemed there was much more order in society when Christianity had more of a hold in Britain. I am not however NOT for the deep south anti gay/black mentallity.

I'm behind you on this, but a religion basically means that you have to believe in something......

You have to start by declaring what you believe in

Then I would suggest that you declare how you would "prove" that you believe in it i.e helping the community, doing a good deed, shopping for the elderly etc etc

Then once you have stated that, then I would suggest that you create a "pathway" i.e. an instruction on how to get to that place that gives someone with the same beliefs a method of getting to the same level of the person starting the religion.

This could include some of my suggestions above i.e. helping the elderly, looking after kids or something else.

I'm no pro, I've just looked at your question as I posted one about resolving problems in the UK before fixing problems overseas simply by giving money, and now I can see where you where going with the whole thing

Apparently, it's been easy to 'start a new idea' (religion)
There are millions of 'gods' worshipped...Everyone has a favorite

But how does the True God want us to worship Him?

For starters, Jesus said * Worship in ...TRUTH* John 4:24 ...

Then, consider James1:27 < >Worship that is clean is
clearly outlined,defined...

How insightful of you to recognize the need for investigating
a way of worship which produces good fruitage >better people,
a better way of living, giving real hope,
freedom from all superstition,
fear of eternal torment, or the 'End' of life on Earth...

Freedom from the God-dishonoring false doctrines,
which have turned so many away, yes, God's Enemy has been sucessful in deceiving, yes
the bulk of mankind.
Satan is real ( tempted Jesus) and doesn't care what religion
you have...as long as it isn't the worship of Jehovah.
Satan been viciously envious of the Creator since he allowed jealousy to develop ~Like humans, Angels have free will and Choices... Misusing his free will, Satan became the Slanderous Liar & chief Resister of Jehovah. What a Manslayer!

Seems you're searching for accurate knowledge... I hope you'll take seriously Jesus' words at John 17:3 ..." KNOWING GOD,
and the one He sent foth, JESUS CHRIST means (results) in
Eternal Life" ... King James/ any translation

Accurate Knowledge must be searched out, as if digging for hid
treasure (not that GOD has hidden it) He has preserved the Bible

I hope you'll discuss your desire with any of Jehovah's Witnesses
(who likely come to your home on ocassion) No matter where in
the world you reside, whatever island, angels will direct God's Witnesses to you.
If, indeed you're eager to have such an encouraging discussion, you can feel free to contact ANY Kingdom Hall and REQUEST a VISIT, or walk in. You will be greeted warmly.

And you will Stay Awake !

Christians are DEFINITELY not anti-black, I don't know where you heard that. And even though we don't believe in being gay, we never judge people and we love them anyway...You should probably just be a true christian, not like other "christians", but the bible's interpretation of what a true christian is supposed to be... true christians are not judgemental, loving, caring, it make you feel good and not want to curse or do anything wrong ( I know because I feel this way all the time). I don't like sin naturally and I'm glad I never get caught up in that. Most importantly, christians love Jesus. It gives me a wondeful feeling after I walk out of church, and I just feel like being nice to everyone. It's like a cleansing for the soul, which is great... Good Luck in your choice!!

It's a nice idea, but nobody would be interested. People don't really want love and harmony; people are bastards. It's a shame but 'tis the truth. I try to live right, but know I often fail. I don't see how a religion would help that, as even religions that teach tolerance and respect are hijacked for the follower's own ends.

Do we need a religion at all to accomplish these goals? If we're dealing in the hypothetical, why not aspire to build an honest and open society that accomplishes the ideals you've set fourth? That way, you don't need the exclusionary dogmatic qualities of religion.

You can definitely start your own religion very easily. People are always in search of answers and hope, but be careful that your creation does not get out of control like Jesus' did (his real name was Joshua; Jesus is the Greek translation (1)). You may want to check out the Flying Spaghetti Monster website before you get started, though: http://www.venganza.org/index.htm. I have found it to be quite illuminating when it comes to the human animal's determination to find answers, even at the expense of rational thinking.

no ordinary human being can do it only Manifestations of God have the power to do so.
and if you are not happy with your religion or you think you need to find a better truth you go and learn about other religions.
That is what I did and I became Baha'i, the reason was that by being a Baha'i you respect all other religion and you will find the truth in all of them

u can't just start your own religion, unless you were king in the 15th century . That's how the Protestant denomination was started by Henry VIII. Anyway, for it to be a religion, there has to be a god of some sort involved and you're not God.....sorry!!!

Make up a religion. Look at Protestantism and Islam for some pointers.
