Since you are writing in English (sort of) you must be referring to the English translation of the Bible. Unless you read Greek and Hebrew the translation and new information gives additional information in the translations. Many books that have been found recently were completely left out of the Bible. One would need to study all of the books and documents found of old to learn. Since we do not know when or if ever all the parts that were meant to be included in a so-called Bible, we cannot have a valid concept. As with any language, there sometimes is not an exact word to translate a concept. As archaeological digs find new treasures, we progress in the knowledge of what was meant and better translations. So, you see there is an very valid reason!
