maybe you could sue yourself for poor parenting skills.

Maybe the cat's owner should sue you for cruelty to animals, since your child is a minor, you as the responsible adult should teach the child the basic fundamentals of respecting all lifeforms.
Maybe the cat's owner should sue you for the vet's medical assistance to the cat. Maybe the cat suffered some kind of injury due to having been squeezed so strongly by your offspring.
The sandbox can be cleaned, the sand replaced. By the way, it seems your child was not harmed at all, a struggling cat would certainly defend itself.

Get the sandbox cleaned, teach your kid that animals feel too, and please stop trying to get into the overlitigation loop so prevalent in American life.

only once your son (and most likely you, as you're supposedly the responsible one) is charged with animal cruelty, and for the vet bills for the cat. vomiting is not normal and should be checked out.

best to teach your son to respect others (whether they have 2 legs or 4), and that there are consequences for his actions (no more sandbox). also not to approach an animal unless an adult approves (especially for stray animals), as the animal may be sick or scared and injure/infect your child.

depending on the affected area in your sandbox, you could probably just remove the sand in the area with vomit, and replace with new sand, and the sandbox should be fine.

no just throw out the sand that the cat threw up on and replace it. I think the cat's owner would be more justified to sue you for your son's actions on the cat (especially if it has broken ribs or internal damage). I'd make sure that cat's not injured if I were you.

YES.... You should sue this cat owner....You should sue the CAT Mfg as well.... These cats are advertised as always landing on their feet.. and that stuff... but apprently there is some kind of design flaw in the internal workings that make these cats...Weak in the stomach.... Go... get :em....

You just brightened my day. hahahahahahahaha

But no, you should probably not sue the owner. If you make them too mad, they would have every right to report your son to the ASPCA, and have you fined for harming the cat.

umm no? YOUR son was the one who squeezed the cat. maybe next time you should have told him NOT to squeeze the cat! For one thing it hurts the cat, and another he will get the idea that it's okay to hurt animals which is not okay!

u should take some parenting classes to assure that your kids stay away from stray animals. i don't think it's really necessary to replace the entire sandbox

That's preposterous. People these days sue everyone for every little thing. Everyone, learn to take responsibility for yourselves and your actions, instead of trying to make cash out of everything!!

ummm no because they could sue you for the harm to the cat... you know they would figure out some way to show the cat was harmed... but good try though!
