ok, i don't go to skool with her. She's my friends friend and we've never met. Since we've never met she called me and bunch of names and said f-u and all that crap. Is it just me or is she being a bitcl-l?

Am I the Only One Who "Blesses" People, For Reasons Other Than Sneezing?

I always tell people "Bless you" when they cough, burp, fart, or have any other kind of bodily eruption. I don't know why.

Why is this stated in my Western Civ textbook?

First I want to say that I hope the question doesn't offend anyone. I'm just asking because of my textbook & because I don't believe it could be accurate to the degree the author states. It says that some young Muslim children are being taught their religion with a bad interpretation of Islam.

The reason I don't see how this could be accurate is that I'm sure that they would be taught the true meanings of Islam. I'm not Muslim...I'm Christian, but I learned a little bit of facts on Islam (along with Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism & Buddhism) in a world religions class. And to me, all the religions basically believe in being peaceful.

So, why would my textbook's author make the statement about how some Muslim children are being taught about their religion? And could it be offensive on the author's part?

Why is faith in "god" used a blind justification for bigotry and hatred?

So many times I have read replies in here that clearly illustrate a blind malfunction of independent cognition when someone wants to justify bigotry, discrimination and hatred they cite "god" as an excuse. Is that not hypocritical for a "christian" (or indeed any other faith)? Should such faiths not teach TOLERANCE of diversity?
And what makes these bigots so confident that their teachers and sources are accurate? I mean, if you haven't directly spoken to the relevant deity, ultimately at some point you must be taking someone else's word for it (ie another mortal human) and how do you test whether their interpretation is correct?
Sometimes I despair at the cruelty propagated in the name of "god".

If the devil repented for this sins and?

accepted Jesus as the Son of God, What would happen. Would judgement day never happen.

If he can't does that meant God has choosen his fate and the worlds taking away his free will.

One of the things the bible tells us is that freewill is the basis of God gift of life . If God has taken the devil's free will now do I know that my freewill has not been taken and my life is one of fate and not freewill.

Are there really miracles?

The way I see it, everyone who gets a serious illness wants or has someone who wants a miracle. Some people get cured, some do not.

Are they really miracles or luck. If they are miracles why did God choose one over the other. What dictates that choice?

Why haven't there been any blockbuster miracles in the last thousand years or so?

I could go on and on. It does not make sense to me, and I want it to make sense!

Is life becoming financially easier or harder with each passing decade?

Great Grandpa may have had to walk miles in the pouring rain and hail, but think of how long it takes to work to buy the car to get around the rain. Housing and gas prices are crazy now. What do u all think? ...overall easier or harder or just the same?
