He is always there. He will come to you if you seek Him.

Deuteronomy 4:29
But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.

1 Chronicles 28:9
"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

Amos 5:14
Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is.

Acts 17:27
God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

We sometimes far overestimate our significance in the universe. Whenever I do this, I step back and reflect on who I really am in respect to the grand creator of everything there is:

“When I see your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you have prepared, what is mortal man that you keep him in mind, and the son of earthling man that you take care of him?” (Ps. 8:3, 4) True, reflection on our place in the universe should properly humble us. Man, created lower than the angels, would seemingly not merit Jehovah God’s consideration. Yet the psalmist’s question shows that God does care about humans.

David asked, in essence: ‘What is man that God keeps him in mind, that Jehovah takes care of him?’ Clearly, then, God does keep man in mind. The Most High does take care of man. Rather than treating humans as insignificant “specks,” God allows the sun to shine and the rain to fall on both the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matt. 5:45) In fact, generation after generation of humans have reason to thank God that he has not forgotten them, for he has given them “rains from heaven and fruitful seasons.”—Acts 14:16, 17.

In the Scriptures, Jehovah is called “God Almighty,” a title that reminds us that we should never underestimate his power or doubt his ability to vanquish his enemies. (Genesis 17:1; Exodus 6:3) Satan’s wicked system of things may seem well entrenched, but in Jehovah’s eyes “the nations are as a drop from a bucket; and as the film of dust on the scales they have been accounted.” (Isaiah 40:15)

Salvation depends on displaying humility. Concerning God, it is said: “The humble people you will save; but your eyes are against the haughty ones, that you may bring them low.” (2 Samuel 22:28)

Not everyone DOES go to G-d. In a lot of cases those who are *not* open are approached by G-d in some way or another. It just takes time.

Being open always helps.

In the parable of the prodigal son, Jesus tells us of the lost son comeing home and his father running out to meet the son as the son is running towards him. It's the same thing. If you seek God with all of your soul, He will reveal Himself to you. You kinda meet in the middle.

you mis-interpret the phrase "go to God." it really means just to talk with God, not necessarily to go find him or something
and for the record, this seems like a very anti-christian question, honestly

Of our free will, we must choose God. He is waiting to be let into our lives. If He were to come to us, it would not be our free will that brought Him into our lives.
