Thanks as always for making me think! I do my best to just enjoy the NOW. Sometimes, however, I can become too focused on my desired destination or the obstacles that I've already scrambled over that I miss out on the journey. Then I have to step back and realize that all there is, is the journey, or the NOW. All there is is NOW!

I love song lyrics, so I've included one below that pretty well sums it up for me.

I believe there is much in this life to be enjoyed, and today is the only day in which to live.

Much Love to you, Old Hippie!

"If today were the last of all days
Would it change how you feel, who you are?
Would you rise for a moment above all your fears
Become one with the moon and the stars?

Would you like what you see looking down?
Did you give everything that you could?
Have you done everything that you wanted to do?
Is there still so much more that you would?

Follow your dream to the end of the rainbow
Way beyond one pot of gold
Open your eyes to the colors around you
And find the true beauty life holds

Would you live for the moment like when you were young
Time didn't travel so fast?
Be free in the present
Enjoying the now
Not tied to a future or past.

You would probably say all you wanted to say
But doesn't it strike you as strange
That we'd only begin to start living our lives
If today were the last of all days?"

--Brenda Russell & John Ewbank.

That's a great question. Somtimes I think life needs to be a bit of a slap in the face - but I mean that in a good way. No matter how much I try to fight it, I get myself in routines and I forget to stop and take a look around me, recognise how great my world is and how lucky I am to have been able to live the life I have the way I do.

Oddly enough, it's just random things that knock me to my senses... A cat smiling at me, a piece of grafitti, a back-alley I've never walked down before... Just something that makes me stop whatever self-obsessed and meaningless thing I was thinking about and look around and say 'Yeah, it's a pretty great thing, this life...'

Yes I am enjoying the path along my spiritual journey. I get to walk in nature, help my fellow human beings through various charities and have the love of my family. One can't ask for much more than that.

Well, not a day goes by that I'm not in awe by the beauty of this world, course I live next to a national forest, so its kinda easy. We saw one of the youngest fawn's today I've ever seen, it was precious, just can't get enough of seeing all the fantastic creatures there are. Have my dogs and cats, and get to see wolves, coyotes, deer, bear, racoons, so many are so beautiful! I've bottle fed orphaned squirrels, rabbits and weirdest of all, a baby skunk. You'd think that would be awful, but he was the sweetest, most adorable baby creature I've come in contact with yet. So, yeah, I'm totally enjoying it!

i think that it is time for the cristan religion to be put on the chopping block so to speak, for the church as mad the carnal pleasures to be bad, and if analized everyone can be guilty of the deadly sins every day. just set bak and enjoy life any way you chose is what i say

Day by day I walk the path that my deities lead me down. I see divinity in everything around me and always take the time to say "Thank you".

Yes, of course - what's the point, if you refuse to enjoy the gifts given along the way and insist on being miserable? "Tiptoe thru the tulips..." - later and later :)

I think life is meant to be enjoyed also, but, it's much easier to enjoy yours if everyone else is enjoying theirs.
