I believe, that God created man, and man creates problems, and in the end, man will eventually destroy mankind. God doesn't create war, our society does, and how do you know he's not at work? Well, ye of little faith, God is always at work. Perhaps it will take something bigger to make you understand, that he is your only savior for an eternal life after this one. And I promise, if you don't like war, you will definitely like eternal life where it is free from all of that.

Well, Jesus said that these things were like the beginning of birth pangs before He returns to set things right.

Matthew 24:4 And Jesus answered them, "See that no one leads you astray.
5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.
9 "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake.
10 And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.
11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray.
12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.
13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be.
22 And if those days had not been cut short, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short.
23 Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or 'There he is!' do not believe it.
24 For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you beforehand.
26 So, if they say to you, 'Look, he is in the wilderness,' do not go out. If they say, 'Look, he is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it.
27 For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.
29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
30 Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

So I guess it's His way of testing people to see who is going to trust in Him for eternal life in the world to come.

Because god gave Adam and Eve a choice,to sin by disobeying Him, or not.Because they sinned(by eating the forbidden fruit)and chose not to obey God,they fell from grace. When they fell, all creation fell.God told Adam "Cursed is the ground for your sake, now your going to have to toil and struggle just to grow food.See, God wants us to love him by choice not to make us robots,so we have to choose to love him. Well,Adam blew it.Now the Earth is cursed and death and pain came in. You'll notice after Adam sinned the lifespans began to get shorter and shorter until God said we'll leave it at about 120 yrs.Don't know too many people who even make that. After Adam, murder entered in then war,etc etc.Now if you get right with the Man, when you die all that pain and suffering will be forgotten, and soon Jesus will return and make all things new again,as Isaiah says "the lion shall lie down with the lamb"But people say"I want it now! I want peace NOW! Sorry ain't gonna happen. You can put a bandanna on your stupid head and protest all you want.Get rid of every gun, nuke, and knife and then your neighbor will pick up a rock smack you in the head and take your car stereo anyway. You get what I'm saying?

Sadly, many people use this issue to reject God when it should be the very reason we accept him. Suffering stands as terrible testimony to the true explanation of the word of God. God cursed the earth because of Adam's sin. sin and suffering are inseparable. Tho this be true we use this as an explanation to run deeper into sins sweet embrace. we find temporal pleasure but really we intensify our pain. The Bible Say's there will be a day of Judgment and you and I will be held accountable of every sin. Let's look at the Ten Commandments to see how you will do. Have you ever lied? have you ever stolen something? ever looked with lust? ever used Gods name in vain? if you have said yes to these you have broken four of the Ten Commandments (I'm guilty also). But here's the bad news, the Bible Say's if God Judges us according to our sin we will end up in Hell. God is Holy and just and demands absolute perfection. the Good news is that God came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ and suffered and died on the cross for our sin. we broke the Law, but Jesus paid our fine. If you will repent (turn from sin) and put your trust in Jesus Christ, God will grant you everlasting life.

He does help. He saves people during the wars. And through many other things, too.

Does this show neglect on God's part? No way. These things happen because of what is inside man. Man made a choice in the Garden of Eden and unfortunately we have to deal with the consequences of that choice.

But let me ask you this question.....
If there were really parents that told us what to do, as is their duty in teaching their children, and we don't listen to them and get hurt, is it the parents fault or the kids?

SIN... when sin entered the world, the world started to die. People are by nature sinful. Sin destroys things. It's as simple as that. God doesn't just sit back. It may appear that He does, but He doesn't. He has to work through His children. That was the whole reason Jesus came to the earth, so God could inhabit His children. Without Jesus, it would be nothing. Jesus over came death and sin and made a way for us to come back to God. Jesus bridges the gap between imperfection and perfection. When Jesus died on the cross for our sins, He was the ultimate sacrifice. He fulfilled the law. He cleared a way for us, His sheep. :D

You should see the answers to the 1 billion times this has been asked. In your premise, you are essentially stating that it would be immoral of God, if He existed, to not stop all wars and death. Unfortunately, you are assuming an absolute moral standard. Where there is an absolute moral standard, there must be a moral law giver. Who is this lawgiver? If you say there is not a moral absolute, then who cares? It's just your opinion. But if there is an absolute moral standard, I say again: who is the moral lawgiver? It cannot be one of us, since we are just people, it cannot be society, since there is so many societies with conflicting views; also society is made up of; you guessed it, people. The only answer that remains is God. If God is the moral lawgiver, then He must of necessity be absolutely good and perfect. So the question implodes on itself.

According to Sikhism, people go through millions of lives taking their sins and good deeds with them..it's called Karma: whatever you did good or bad in this life or in your last life will be either rewarded or punished. According to Sikhism, it's a never-ending cycle of pain and suffering until you truly find god. Only those who have found god are truly happy, no matter whether you're rich, poor, Christian, Sikh, or anyone else.
