okay. I will answer the question.
YES, God would forgive him.
we christians do not even entertain the thought because it is not in the nature of satan.
remeber, Satan already knows GOD exhist. he knows his time is short so he is taking way ever lasting life for those that believe him. Remember, you do not have to be Satanic to follow satan, you just have to reject CHrist.

Whether the Devil repents or not is irrelevent. He was created as a perfect spirit son of God. He knew God's standards of right and wrong, and instead of loyally supporting his creator, he staged a rebellion that has effected billions of lives, both spirits and humans, over thousands of years. He is responsible for every miserable experience the world faces.
Likewise, Adam and Eve were perfect, and had an accurate understanding of what was expected of them and what the consequences of disobedience were. They made a deliberate choice, and therefore have no excuse. When they returned to the dust at death, they wouldn't be returning, ever.
However, the rest of us are not perfect. We are born into this world as sinners, prone to badness. Therefore, we make mistakes, and we have to struggle to keep our paths straight and true.
Therefore, when we do something wrong, and we are ashamed, we can repent, and demonstrate our sincerity by trying to avoid repeating the same mistake again.

The Devil (Satan, Lucifer) is a fallen Angel. Being an Angel, he had perfect knowledge of all the repercussions when he choose to reject God. Some say he saw Christ's incarnation as man, and refused to serve any of us 'lesser' beings, choosing instead to reject God and placing himself into opposition with God.
So, Satan has free will, and has already exercised it to completely reject God. Because he knew exactly what repercussions this act has, and chose this course anyway, it is impossible for him to repent.
He does know Jesus is God (see various demonic exorcisms by Christ in the Gospels), he just refuses to acknowledge His authority. Also, having rejected God, he is determined to try to lead all others to whom God has given the gift of Free Will, to also reject God. It's simply a matter of misery loving company, and of trying to perpetuate his rejection of God by attempting to thwart His will, that all men be saved.

Wow, that's a gutsy and "well researched" question. But since I'm not God, and you got the balls to ask such an in-depth question, why don't you get REALLY BALLSY and ask GOD HIMSELF??!!!! I hear He's ready for your comments and questions 24/7, or aren't you as ballsy as you put on to be, and you have to stay here in Yahoo Answers to show your stuff and ask such questions. I'm sure if you still have your free will He gave you, you can go straight to Him and ask. God Bless you.

Interestingly, in Islam, the devil (Iblis) is not the enemy of Allah, but his greatest supporter. He refused to bow down before mankind (out of his great love of god) and was therefore punished by Allah. He now tempts men to see if they are really faithful to Allah. He does this out of love of Allah. In the end, Allah will forgive him and welcome him back.
Many people often misunderstood the term, "the Great Satan" as used by Khomeini. He was actually refering to the power of temptation created by American culture.
Just a different perspective.
Most of the image that we have of in western Christian culture has little to do with the bible. What there is owes a lot to rather liberal translations (e.g., translating "morning star" - refering to the planet Venus - as Lucifer and equating that to the devil - but don't ask your pastor, your just supposed to read and believe without questioning) and the importing of other popular traditions.

His fall didn't have anything to do with accepting Jesus, it had to do with accepting man. He didn't like us, didn't want to have to watch over us, just plain resented us. There's the theory he wanted to be on an equal keel with God, but who knows which theory is truth. Regardless, I'm sure if he repented God would forgive him, but since God knows what will happen, it doesn't look like it does.
