I keep reading answers from people regarding immigration, English as a proposed official language, and other topics where they say that speaking a language other than English in public is rude. Why do they think this is the case? It's one thing to say that not knowing how to speak English at all if you're in immigrant (or perhaps even a tourist) is problematic. It's a completely different thing to say that people shouldn't speak their native language in front of others.

If you're one of those who thinks it's rude, ponder this situation first before you respond to the other: How many languages do you speak? Do you ever travel? If so, what language do you speak when you're in public overseas? Even if you speak French fluently and use it to order food, purchase tickets, etc..., don't you speak English when you're talking to other Americans, even when in France? If you do, then by your very own rules, you're being rude. Sounds kind of stupid if you look at it that way, doesn't it?

Religious liberals promote homosexual ordinations, same-sex marriage, civil union ceremonies in the church, equal protection under hate-crime legislation, protection against discrimination in employment, etc. as fundamental human rights issues.

Religious conservatives feel that the Bible teaches that homosexual behavior is always a serious sin. Allowing sexually active gays and lesbians to be ordained, or to have their committed relationships recognized by the church would involve a drastic and unacceptable lowering of church standards. The church would be condoning sin. They also oppose including sexual orientation in hate-crime and anti-discrimination legislation.

Most Christians say that Jesus' death on the cross did away with some or all of the OT laws. I want to know what laws people think are done away with.

The problem is I am taking a class at night. A girl in my same class sits by me to use my book every single night. It seems the professor has told her not to bother getting one of her own so she pulls her desk over to mine every single night. It is getting old. Would it be too rude to sit at another desk? At first I didn't mind and I told her it was fine, but now I am getting tired of having someone so near to me. Her breath is getting increasingly worse. I have given her gum, but she still is too close for comfort.

1. You believe that the Trinity is a mystery. Yet, John 17:3 says that eternal life means KNOWING God and his messenger Jesus. How can you have that life if God and Jesus is a mystery to you?

2. John 1:1. In that verse, where does it say that Christ is equal in might or power to God? If he is with God, does it automatically mean he is equal to God? Why is the holy spirit not mentioned in this verse?

3. John 1:18. Many saw Jesus. So, how is he God?

4. Matthew 20:23: 24:36; John 5:30. All these indicate that Jesus has limited powers. So, how is he equal to God?

5. John 10:30. When Jesus said that he and the father are one, did he really mean he is equal to his father? Or, did he mean that he what he did was what the father wanted him to do on account of the surrounding verses such as --John 10:25,31?

6. Matthew 28:19. Baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the holy spirit. How in the name of Logic, could you ever conclude that this verse support the Tritity?

My friend is in love with me and I am in love with him but he does not want to have sex with me unless some financial incentive motivates him to have sex with me. He claims he does not want to have sex with me anymore after we have had sex twice, but he is still in love with me. I feel like I am dying from sexual frustration. He takes psych meds. Is he saying what he really wants and needs to say? Is the psych medicine causing his language to be distorted? I feel as though his love for me is true, but is he telling me what he needs and wants using the right verbal expressions? Could he actually want sex but be telling me the opposite of the truth as the result of the mind and voice discrepancy that could result from taking psych meds? Can a homosexual be in love with a man but not be sexually attracted to that man he is in love with? Can a heterosexual be in love with a person but not be sexually attracted to that person the heterosexual is in love with? Doesn't seem likely to me.
