Why do americans think Europeans have reigonal and class prejudices just look at America! agree or disagree?
First let me say I like what I've seen of America, but I don't like how Americans acuse Europeans of class prejuice and reigonal prejudice just look at America. I can't count the number of times I've had Americans tell me that the British are narrowminded and that we have a yorkshireman, a cockney, and a person from the midlands all not relating to each other. That is not true. Look at America people from the New york/New Jersey area who act loud and spoiled and think there better and anyone from the south is scum, and people from the south who hate people from the north and these people still act like they are that different for goodness sake. Give me a break!

What do you do when you want to gain confidence and have a better personality so people can start appreciating you. For me, I truly hate my self for the things I've done in the past. Now I want to change myself for the better! Any ideas?

My office co-worker recently said that he wanted to move out of his neighborhood because it had become "too working class". I thought this statement was a bit odd. Do certian people dislike blue collar or other 9 to 5 people? Is this an example of a class system in action?

I know of many cases of aggregious abuses of IBM managers in the Hudson Valley who physically harassed employees, severely abused religious employees, cheated employees, sometimes rewriting history to steal many years of accomplishments. I get the feeling HR's gut reaction is to pacify the situation and keep it quiet... but never to do the right thing because its the right thing. Can a corporation like IBM really police itself or is are ethics just a for publicity thing and when no ones looking... well... they aint necessarily there. They have open door policies but in recent years managers often identify and punish those who use them.

What I mean by that is do you choose to date outside your race to anger or draw attention to others? I worked with someone who dated a person of a different race only to get attention. She would change her voice around people of that other race in order to "blend" with them...

Well, this is what happen...i go to a private school and i work in the Covent next to the school as a receptionist. There is a cook who works there also, he was very nice man to me at first. You know. But, then one day i went in the kitchen to heat up my lunch, and he said some very inappropiate things to me, that i will not repeat. Well, I told my parents and my father was very upset, we told the school and anyone else who was in high authority. They told us that he has been there part time for 8 years and this has never happen before. Now, keep in mind i am african-american he is african american also. He knows that i am sophmore in highschool, because only students can work in the convent as receptionists. He also works part time with my aunt, and he has also sexually harrassed girls at her job also, that were 16,17, and 18. I go to a prodominantly white private school, is this a race issue. Would they have done something if I was white and he was black? What should I do?
