It can be done either through post office or through courier services. They will weigh and tell u the amount.
Take a receipt of that along with reference no. (this will be useful to track the parcel movements).
There are two types of services
(i) Home delivery (suitable for small parcels)
(ii) Pick up delivery (means the parcel will reach to the town/city of the receipent and the receipent has to pick it up from the office by showing the receipt which you need to send him)

Don't use the USPS.. they have lost several packages and they will leave the package at the front door where the neighbors get it (experience).. use UPS or FEd ex..it's auto insured and u can track it for the same price.. The PO u will have to pay to insure it and track it (at least $2.00 more ) and the PO does not pack the package for u.. UPS will put in a box, tape it, etc..

Go to the post office, wait in line, give them the package, and pick your options! You'll pay after all if said and done.

it is going to matter upon the size and weight of the object you're sending, also if you're sending with information from first or 2d class, it often expenditures me round a £a million.00 for small products 2d class, however that's with information from royal mail, going with information from yet another service might want to value you a lot less.

no you can't do that anymore. you will have to carry it by hand to where ever you are sending it. No using publis transport either.
