My son has recently been diagnosed with chronic anxiety. He has spent 4 days at school in three weeks and every morning is a nightmare in our house. He is home again this morning and we have threatened all his priveleges (the last ditch effort) but he would rather lose everything than go to school. We start counselling this week but need an instant solution. Help!!!

Meaning the message was received loud and clear, yet they purposely misinterpret it or pretend that they did not understand it...again and again and again...

I have been employed by an organisation for 3 years. I enjoy my job immensely, however it is only a small office (2 people - me and the coordinator).

Over time the Coordinator has increasingly emphasised that certain things need to change in my working role to assist reaching targets. I have adapted process slightly, although still inline with policy and the way things are completed in other regional offices.

On looking into the statistics I found that my working role was well above state averages and in fact the Coordinator role was under performing. When the Coordinator was requested to justify the poor performance of the overall statistics it was presented that my role was not up to scratch.

Now I find I cannot trust the Coordinator and things are being put in place to justify me being fired in order to protect the Coordinator role. The Coordinator is incompetent, continuously defensive and certainly a sociopath - without walking away from my job - what can I do?

I've been feeling real down lately. I dont seem to enjoy anything anymore. Not even my closest friends' company.. I even get bored when I'm with my bf. Nothing seems 'fun' anymore. I feel tired all the time and I'm easily annoyed by things that didnt used to annoy me before. I'm kind of hopeless when it comes to the future.. dont see it bright at all. I wasnt like that. Sometimes it seems like there's no good reason why I feel so down but also there isnt a good reason why I shouldnt! My father passed away about 4 months ago and its not getting easier by time. Looks like I'm the kind of person who would start greifing after so long. It was a sudden death abroad so I was busy finishing the procedures to bring the body back, I wasnt really thinking of anything but my mother and sister and how I wanted to be strong as the older sister. I didnt even cry enfront of them. I cry now at very stupid things and almost al the time I end up remembering my father. I don't feel much these days..

im 15 years old, since the beggining of the year ive been hearing voices, seeing people that arent there... hearing growling and snarling outside my window when my dogs spend the nights inside, sometimes when my friends are over and i hear one of the voices, they bring it up, but i also heard it, i sometimes wake up with wounds, a few weeks ago was 3 perfectly even sized cuts one above the other on my thumb,,, and last night, i was about to go to sleep, i was home alone, it felt like someone was rubbing my back... some nights when im home alone, i get a feeling someone is around, watching me, but like..... a soothing feeling like i was being protected

Is this world we percieve really real? Think about it. We are told that are mind is more complex than we think. What if all we see and feel is just imagination? Does anyone understand? The "Truths" we have been told we have no way of knowing if they are true. What if this perception of the world is mind control, we are controlled. What if, what if, what if! We can never stop wondering about the truth. What do you think?

A a young age, at least 10, my father died. I have had a couple of odd dreams with him in it and I have seen him as the spirit. These days, I seem to be hearing odd stuff. I've heard the piano being played, a man's voice saying "Come on.", and singing. is something wrong with me?

That maybe if you were better-looking (if you're not that happy with your looks already) that maybe you would have the confidence to be doing more things? Maybe go to more parties or socialize without feeling self-conscious? I think I would be a whole different person. I feel EXTREMELY adventurous all the time, like I want to go off and do my own thing and try something new. I'm actually quite independent, but because I lack the confidence (my looks, as I feel), I don't feel as though I can do everything I please to do, show my true self without worrying about what others think. What about you? Serious answers, please...

I know this is similar to "if a tree falls in a forest...", but I'm curious whether color is a subjective experience, or whether different wavelengths have "color" as an attribute.

Hope I worded this correctly...

Instead of the long wait and the slow psychological torture, and instead of the agonizing pain of the electric chair or the needle, why don't they fight the guards to the death? Being shot to death quickly and on your own terms seems less painful. At least in their very last hour, why do they allow the state to strap them to the chair and do all the preparations slowly without fighting the state?

Where do you begin to start to like yourself? I don't like me! Not because I'm a nasty person, in fact I'm very nice, I just don't like me. You may say 'well change' but these are things I can't change. I'm disabled so how do I move on and stop being ashamed?

Ok so like I screw up on a project, right? Next time I do a project, I think of last time I screwed up and eventually screw up this one too. And I always do that. I always think back on how I screwed up, and I SCREW UP! Or that time that big dog jumped on me. Ever since that happened, when I see a big dog, I cant even be around it. Or when I tried to dunk and hang on, on a hoop, I fell. Ever since I couldnt hang on cuz im afraid I will fall down. See the problem here? I always look back on and how the things that I do in the present, and always either screw them up like a project or afraid of dogs and afraid that it will jump on me. If this continues, what the hell life would I have? Looking back always and thinking how I will screw up in the present, too. What do I do?
