No, but I don't really worry about it. That reminds me what Mark Twain said about worry, "I had a horrible life, and most of it never happened!". If I run into someone like that, I think they would be very smart, and, good looking. I'll let ya know. peace

I know a guy (I work with him) who doesn't QUOTE famous people, he used to hang out with them (he's an old drinking buddy of Eddie Van Halen before Eddie got famous; he used to hang out with Danny Elfman {former leader of Oingo Boingo and writer of the Simpsons theme song among others}; and other musicians "before they got famous"). Whether or not he actually did is impossible to verify. Doesn't really matter anyway; he only keeps reminding us to impress us or something. In the pecking order of the corporation where we work he is near the bottom but he volunteers for every committee and meeting that comes up even if they have nothing to do with his job. Sometimes the big shots are in the meetings. If he meets them he's automatically best buds and on a first-name basis with them. And he tells us repeatedly. "I was talking to Jon the other day...". "I ran in to Chris and...". "Rick came by and...". It got old real fast. I don't know if all name-droppers are like this but it's very irritating and obnoxious, as if he's trying to make us believe he's better than we are because he "hangs out" with the "big shots". To us, he's an insecure wannabe, kissing a.ss in attempts to advance up the company ladder. Oh, and he's also considerably more intelligent that everybody else, just ask him.

I had a friend who constantly told me the salaries of famous people. Believe me that got real old real fast. It was to the point of obsession - who cares what the salary of xyz baseball player or movie star is? I'm sure I don't give a rat's a**! Seriously that guy was seriously annoying - he still does it! We're not in contact any more!

Me! Although most are not too famous, I like the words not the people. But, you can't plagiarize so you have to give credit where credit is due.
