If someone else takes a picture of just a mirror and you look at that picture...why cant you see your reflection?

An actual mirror reflects light but an image representation of one does not and thus you can't see your reflection thru a picture of a mirror.

For the sake of completion- the answer is because a mirror is glass with a silver backing- the metallic element (silver) is reflective- the glass is merely there for structure and protection.
When taking a picture- you are seeing the captured colors at that moment. Just a series of hues and tints bases on existing light at that moment. The photo will never change.

As a photographer I have had no problem.
As a man looking at your reflection in a mirror that's the challege. While in Japan I tried to see my face, I could not see it. For months I tried with no success. This was in reference to looking through the filters of my mind. It is not until one has found true quiteness through forgiveness and embraced acceptance that you can really see your face.

I tried it just now. I took a picture of myself in the mirror. Ths first one was one big blob of light. The second one---I turned off the flash, and there I am with my camera in front of my face.

You can. I don't know what kind of camera you are using. Alot of times I take pictures of myself in the mirror.
