We got this "interesting-read" handout in class today about the elderly... It was funny because we took hand-votes in class and the majority of the class always voted "True" for each statement! and I don't know...maybe they're right? If you're an older person and can disprove any of these statements, go for it! (I read it to my mom and she just laughed :))

1. Older people are less productive than young people.
2. Stress is more prevalent among the elderly than other age groups.
3. The quality of health care available to older people is generally better than that available to others.
4. Sexual desire and activity in old age gradually declines.
5. People in retirement are generally well off and receiving adequate benefits from the government.
6. As people move into older ages, it is more likely that men willbe left alone.
7. The elderly almost inevitably become senile and slow-witted.
8. As people age they become more rigid and inflexible.

So this amazing girl that seems like she was kinda leading me on was just talking to me on msn, and she pretty much just asked me if I was planning on asking her out. I told her no because I heard from a friend that she told him that she didn't want me to ask her out. She told me that she had told him (lol) that it would be weird if I asked her out since I knew that she only wanted to be friends... which I didn't until just then... I really like her... possibly love her, she was actually my first kiss. I'm not stupid I know I need to get over her, I just don't know how. I actualy feel like crying right now lol. Anyways the last few days Ive been sitting and talking with her on the bus. Normally she reads on her way to school. I just had wanted to hint to her that I was really truely interested... now I dont know if I should sit with her on the bus tomorrow or just take my own seat and smile as I pass by... it was an aqward conversation, but hopefully one day I'll get over it... =*(

my brain keep thinking, working all the time.

even when i wake up in the morning, i have some new thought from sub-concious part of my mind.

how can i change this habbit ? or should i change this habbit ?

if yes, then how to relax and stop thinking ?

i saw some few meditation techniques, but i don"t think i can do that, such techniques are not my cup of tea.

i know i am doing reasonably good and this thing helps me in taking better decisons, but all the time.....

it is quite stressful also to keep using your brain all the time..

My mother passed back in October and I am having a hard time getting passed her death. I am almost obsessed with it, you could say. My sister refuses to talk about the day she died. She doesn't want to think about it she says. Well, it's all I can think about. I made a difficult choice. Now i'm not sure if it was the right one. That day plagues my dreams, my every waking moment, and is now beginning to affect my relationship with her and my little brothers. I feel as though I stole my mother from them when all I wanted to do was ease her pain. I feel guilty. Should I? The longer I go on without talking to my sister, the more I feel like I am drowning in my uncertainity. How do I move on from this? Sometimes I feel like this was one of the most defining moments in my life, more so than the birth of my daughters. In that one moment, I became a different person. All I can remember is how she looked when she died, not how she looked when she laughed, how she smelled, the good things. Why?

With most phobias part of the process is to confront the origin or source of your fear. When one thinks too much about the inevitable death and makes themself nauseous, what could psychological help possibly do to help deter these thoughts?

How can one overcome these thoughts, especially when (hopefully) it is something that probably will not occur for a long time?

I ask this hear because as an atheist I have no belief in an afterlife, so there is no comfort there either.

I laugh and laugh at things that arent too funny and lose my breath from laughing so hard when I do!? People at school ask me if im on crack(laughing while asking because I move my whole body when I laugh)and I say no. I cant help it!and I also am clueless on some things!Like today I brought my cell to school and carried it around in my purse and today my dad called me during math class(he forgot I had it)and I started dancing to the ring tone(thinking that it was my teachers. thats what the whole class does) and in front of everybody I said oh thats my phone and I got in trouble and a little embarressed! and I laughed really hard then. also at gym today we were plaing soccor and there was a volleyball net at the side of the gym and the ball got stuck in the net and a girl started kicking it trying to get it out and her foot got stuck in it and she fell on her face! And I laughed so hard I fell down!! nobody reallytakes me serious anymore.what should I do?is there something wrong withme

Is there anyone else so sick of their job that it actually makes them physically ill? Or is it just me? If you are one of these people, how do you cope? What helps you to go back there every day, besides the paycheck.

well you see, i created a character and it means everything to me! i remember the excact time i made it! it has a whole coulture and everything! well.....i believe that they are real! but the thing is that only me and my friends can see them! there are like 50 million of them living right now! i always feel like i am their God! (well, i practically am) i always wish everyone can see them. my imagination is really really HUGE! here are the questions i have to ask you:

#1. what does this mean? does it mean i have something really special or something?

#2. should i report it to the president or something?

#3. do you think this is good that i made this character?
