Is there anyone else so sick of their job that it actually makes them physically ill? Or is it just me? If you are one of these people, how do you cope? What helps you to go back there every day, besides the paycheck.

I understand. Unfortunately I live from paycheck to paycheck and I go back. I often get physcially ill after I get to work. I use a technique called scripting. It helps some. I learned this from a book called "Feelings Buried Alive Never Die", by Karol Truman. It helps with a lot of other things too.
I hope things get better for you. Good luck!

sounds like you need to take a look at your priorities... if your job is making you physically ill, is it really worth the paycheck?
It also depends on what about your job is making you physically ill (environmental? social? safety? or lack of?). Think about it, and see if it's worth the hassel, or if you should quit and get a new job. It may not be easy to find a new job, but it may make the most sense...

I was getting so upset, I would get up in the morning & become physically sick with the thought of going to work there. I went out on disability last year (after 20 years), so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Look for another job or strike out on your own if you can.

I had a job once in a bar and EVERY TIME I was driving to work, I would wonder what would happen if I just kept driving and never looked back but I didn't. I wish I would have but instead I went in and dealt with drunk guys hitting on me, old perverts trying to grab me when I set their drinks down, and more than once...someone puking on my shoes. If I could do it over, I would have gotten the hell out of there, I still regret not just keeping my foot on the gas.

I like my job, but unfortunately I'm working with women (men would say that I'm crazy saying such a thing and women that I'm a pig!) I have an explanation! It's true that you make our lives beautiful, it's true that we came to this world because of you, but... why you should be so competitive?? I can't stand watching women transformed to raptors. It's very sad and very annoying, too. OK men do this too, but not to this level!!
What I do? I don't listen, I do my job and I leave!

The solution for me was to work from home...

People were always my problem. I love working and being productive... I have people at work problems! Not work problems

Maybe look into working from home?
