Gratitude can be many things, naturally, you would feel gratitude toward some one who helped you when you needed a hand. However, you might also be grateful that you had what was needed, when someone else was in need. you may feel gratitude that you were born where you were and in the family that you were. Gratitude, is like a pebble on the water, it's ripples can spread into every little crevice, of liffe and into unexpected places.

Depends on who is getting and who is giving...

Gratitude for those who helped me, or gratitude from those I helped....

I think it's true, there's plenty of people that I've helped even though I didn't really want to , and that doesn't really stay with me. I do remember much better the ones who helped me when I needed it, and the feelings that came with it!

I agree. I'll never forget what others have done for me. I believe that the best you can do is , ''Pay it forward, as in the movie. " Those who helped you probably don't need your help. There will be some in your future who do.
