Psychology - February 2007

hey everybody! I need an advice about my non-existent relationships... so well, I am 19, and I ve never had a boyfriend, and I just don't have anybody...Now in a psychology course i am taking, it says that the one achievement of early adulthood is to learn to establish intimate relationships...but for me, it just seems that I don't know how to do it!Frankly, I do not know what my problem is...Am I not sending the right message out? Am I boring or something? Have you ever known anybody who has the same problem? I am just so worried that I am just going to stay single and alone forever this way! or maybe i am just too desperate? ~sigh~ anyways, i really hope that somebody more experienced can help me here..after all I am just looking for love. I just have no clue as to how to establish relationships! :(

I have been on a group list lately and two people have privately emailed me that one of the members is a paranoid psycotic. I looked on the net and couldn't find much about it. The person in question is extremely abusive, seems to suspect conspiracies, and thinks one person is posting under multiple identities. Which the rest of us know is not true. He also gets names mixed up and calls jane, jill etc etc.

I dreamed I was driving at night, and I stopped at a stop sign. To my left were car lights, and I waited for that car to pass through the intersection. Instead, it's lights went black. I peered closely as the last of their light disappeared. Then I looked forward and MY lights went black. Then the dashboard went dark. I was alarmed, trying to make sense of what was happening. And I figured, "This is it, something has destroyed the inventions we've come to depend on as humans."

Then I went blank (fainted), over the steering wheel. Then I woke up. It was very "real" (not surreal, not dream-like, even though it was a dream).

Instead of doing some work, why do they beg,and never realy know if they`ll have enough for the next cigarette,coffee,food,beer,or any other simple cheap pleasure that they need every day???

...ever had a dream or a random vague picture of a situation in your mind something which you don't think much of, then like months or a year or so later it actually happens and you are like woah...?

I have scoliosis. I don’t know how severe because I have no insurance and can’t go to the doctor. I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis as a preteen. I know that most of the time I am in pain. I have trouble breathing sometimes and one shoulder blade sticks out/ the ribs on this side and my back are rounded. If I jump on a trampoline or run it kind of hurts. I get really self-conscious about it and whenever I talk to ANYONE about it, I cry. I’m crying right now…

I feel really alone and have no clue why I cry every time I talk about it. I’m already different from everyone else…

1.) When do people consider it out of control? Is it where the cuts are, or how deep? Or the frequency of cutting?

For all you guys what is the perfect size for a girl to be? Speaking in how thin a girl is or how much they weigh? Or does it even matter to some of you guys? Does it bother you when your girlfriend calls herself fat or someone close to you calls herself fat? I need to know how you guess think. Two nights ago I had a very strange dream. I was on a church retreat, and one of my close guy friends (we're like brother/sister close friends in real life) was there on the trip, also. Late into the night, I dreamed we snuck out of the hotel rooms and down onto the side lawn, where I then cheated on my boyfriend with my friend, if you know what I mean by "cheated." I was puzzled, because I've always heard that what you dream is what you wish, but I'm very happy in my current relationship and would never dream of cheating on my boyfriend, especially with this friend. Could this mean something, like deep down I want more from the friend, etc., or was it just one of the crazy dreams you sometimes have? <3

I was in a physically abusive relationship for a couple of years, 3 years ago. When I think about it, I never feel anything, not sad, anxious, concerned or anything at all. I know that this was a horrible period in my life and that while living in that day to day life I was very depressed and emotionally unhealthy. I rarely talk about it to anyone and I have never even mentioned it to my fiance. Why does this not effect or bother me at all?

i made the mistake of having sex before i was ready and i cannot seem to forgive myself for it. i had sex with my boyfriend, who i am absolutely crazy insane about, on January 16 and i have stressed myself out beyond belief. I cannot seem to stop beating myself up about it. I only think about it when i am alone. I dont know what to do. we used a condom and he didnt finish and it was 5 days before my period (which came on time and was normal) so i really dont think i am pregnant. I have read the bible constantly and prayed to God for forgivness but i just feel empty inside. i regret doing it so much but it's my own fault because i didn't stop it. It was a mutual decision and i thought i was ready. But i wasn't and now i am paying for it.
