Has anyone ued psychoactive drugs (cannabis, lsd, magic mushrooms, etc.) to stimulate creativity in composing music, art, or poems/short stories, etc....if so, were you able to use it for psychological analysis afterwards (or did nothing come out of it)?

When a psychologist, psychiatrist, or other counselor is treating a patient with talk therapy, does the therapist believe everything the patient says? Or do they sort it out and figure out what is literally true, from what the patient may be exaggerating, twisting, lying about, or otherwise inaccurate?

I do consider myself a logical person, I’m not as closed minded as most but I just would like to think on a higher level. I love to read and write and my mind is never dormant. I just want to become more aware of my surroundings and how other people think. I’m usually too concerned with my own thought and thinking my way, I fail to consider other’s logic as much as I would like to. And the way I think really does not agree with the “norm”. Both of my English professors acknowledged my way of thinking, they approved of it. I just wish I knew how to reiterate or translate the way I think better.

In everyday life I am a confident, bubbly person but at work i am not. I am scared of making mistakes. i failed to excel in media relations despite being a good writer because i lacked the confidence to develop key relationships and call journalists. I was bullied at work by management and that dented my confidence further. I fear going back to work because i dont know how to deal with senior staff when they begin to bully me.

I am not sure that any self-improvement class or self help book can help lift my confidence. i worry that have a insecure personality and that cant be helped. I see people with less ability but bags of confidence do well, yet i cant get past my own fears.

Can i change? is it possible to learn REAL inner confidence??

I just recently got a job at a cemetary & there is this guy that works there & he gave me a fright the other day by screaming my name when I was by myself. He found it funny & has been doing it ever since. He actually got someone else in on it & I'm getting very tired of it. I need a prank to get back at him in a couple of days / weeks. When I know he won't be expecting it . Any Ideas?

So we know that the left brain is the calculating, practical, and reasoning side and the right brain is the creative, intuitive, emotional side. Now MY take (in condensed form) is that a person's mission in life is to find happiness. Simply put to do what they love and love what they do and also sustain their existence. I believe to find that happiness we are faced with decisions everyday that are either best made using different measures of left and right brain but I think the hidden mission is to make both sides work together in harmony to achieve happiness. Sometimes we use too much of the wrong side or not enough which sets us back from finding happiness. I am an artist, therefore I am best when using the right brain and tend to procrastinate left brain activities like budgeting and making lists. I think one of the best people that has the best balance is Mark Cuban. Your thoughts and opinions folks?

Is life just a series of tests that we either pass or fail to move onto the next test? Situations are thrown at us that we have no control over and we are tested to see how we react to them? The thing is, if we pass a difficult test, there is no guarantee that the next test gets any easier or that we are better equipped to deal with the next test. We can be confronted with more than one test at a time to really stretch our ability to pass.

I grew up in a small village and didn't go to school. I was home schooled by tutors. I have only ever had one friend and now that I can do what I like. I'm just so quiet because I dont have anything to talk about. Most people thesedays just talk about their personal lives but I have nothing to talk about as I dont have any sibs or anyone to talk to talk about. It's just been me and my mum ever since I can remember. I want to be funny and interesting like other people (people like yourself). I find it hard to interact with people and feel like no one understands me. Can anyone suggest anything as I don't even know where to start. I'm nearly 18.

IM 18, and i was offerd a job at a grave yard or memorial park. I immediately jumped on this oppurtunity because, grave yards make me feel calm and happy. Happy that, the fact im not dead and burried 6 feet deep. In other words it makes me happy to be alive and makes me think about, the people that are 6 feet deep and never took a chance, or was a affraid of taking risks in life and now they are dead. It motivates me to take every oppurtunity that comes to me, because i will soon join these people down under, and nothing will matter anymore you will be gone forever!!!!!!!!! but, im not taking this job just to humble myself, but because it pays 13 bucks an hour. Am i weirdo for thinking like this?

Now - I am aware that there are different ranges of intelligence, and they are sometimes pre-determined or learnt, like the nature or nurture theory. But I want to know if an IQ of 115-19 standard, general knowledge is a bit shoddy for someone who is 16 (plus I am right brained, so it makes a difference).
My birth date is the 12/9/90 please be honest, but polite!! lol x
