I do consider myself a logical person, I’m not as closed minded as most but I just would like to think on a higher level. I love to read and write and my mind is never dormant. I just want to become more aware of my surroundings and how other people think. I’m usually too concerned with my own thought and thinking my way, I fail to consider other’s logic as much as I would like to. And the way I think really does not agree with the “norm”. Both of my English professors acknowledged my way of thinking, they approved of it. I just wish I knew how to reiterate or translate the way I think better.

To be more logical, you'll need to strengthen the skills of the left side of the brain. Some tips for long-term development...

- Continue to build your vocabulary...words are the building blocks of logic because they enable you to categorize reality.

- Study logic, read a book...or even better take a college course or two. Logic is like any skill...some have it, some don't, some have the skill to a very high degree...

- Play games that require logic...checkers, chess, sudoku, crossword puzzles, etc.

- Join a debate group. The foundation of their activities is logical argumentation.

The "norm" is to be illogical and just do or think what you want. So you must already be logical. But then, being concerned with your own way of thinking is very normal. So maybe you are more normal than logical. Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
