It would depend on if the condition that puts you there is temporary or permanent, but in general anger and frustration mostly, followed by depression and anxiety.
You don't realize how hard it is to get around or what a challenge a 4 inch curb or a flight of stairs is until you are in a wheelchair.
Anger and frustration can be turned into determination with the right attitude. I got tired of being trapped in my 2nd story apartment and decided I was going out...I had to basically had to roll the chair down the stairs ahead of me, butt scoot down the stairs and all the way down the tiered walkway, dragging the chair along, hoist myself up and to the bus stop so I could go to the store.

Failure, depression, resentment for others who aren't handicapped. My husband is not in a wheel chair, but he became disabled permanently on the job. He is going through all these emotions, not to mention the agony of being in pain every single day.

MY COUSIN WAS BORN TOO EARLY AND BECAME WHEEL CHAIR BOUND
HE IS OFTEN SAD AND DEPRESS CAUSE HE CAN'T WALK ..HE HAS CERBAL PALSY ..SO MY HEART GOES OUT TO PEOPLE IN WHEEL CHAIRS ..GOD BLESS YOU!
