When people with multi personalities become one of their personalities their physical body can also experience amazing affects. One personality can be almost blind while another can have eagle type vision. One can have diabetes while all the others have no problems with their sugar blood levels. One personality can be extremely smart while another appears slower. How does the average person without the mind illness of being a split personality become aware of the changes this person is capable of making unconsciously? I tend to believe, if we can find the answer to this we can wipe out many of the illnesses we face today. Any ideas?

Here is the problem: I am such a shy person. I don't have too many interests, and I'm not very witty. I have been with my gf for awhile now, and I don't understand how she puts up with me. I never have much to say, but I love her and her daugher so much. There are times when we just sit there and say nothing. I've asked her about all this, and surprisingly, she says that whenever she thinks about me, she smiles. She says that she doesn't know how I can be with her. She is insecure too. She says that she loves me, but how? She is not the funnest person either, but when she talks to some of her friends, I notice that she smiles and laughs alot. I wish I can make her laugh like her friends do. She seems to have so many stories to tell about her life, but I never have much to say because I've had a bad past. I do sweet things for her such as interact with her daughter (I'm always fun with her daughter), take her out, and take care of her when she's sick. Can we survive?

At the risk of sounding odd, I can 'hear' a spider. Whenever one is around, my left inner ear becomes agitated and the sound is similliar to water in the ear.

Anyone else ever have anything like this?

What REALLY annoys me is when people overuse the words "retarded" and "gay" and cusswords. And also when people use them the wrong way like, "That show is reatarded/gay!". IT IS SO, SO ANNOYING.

I am absolutely terrified of slugs (ugh I can barely type the word) but can think of no plausible reason why. They don't move quickly, they're small, and they're not exactly dangerous. I can't think of any sort of incident that would have triggered it either - all very bizarre. Anyone else got any strange phobias (ie, not the usual ones like spiders, heights etc)? Or any ideas where they come from in the first place?

In times of difficulty, everyone is prone to focus on the negative aspects of their situation. When you look like a complete failure, it is easy to dwell on where you went wrong. The simple fact is that we can learn many valuable lessons from failure. The Texas Academy of Math and Science (TAMS) was one of the greatest opportunities of my life and with a great opportunity comes a great risk of failure. Unfortunately that was what happened, I failed. I feel I handled my failure in such a way that it benefited me more than if I would have stayed at TAMS. When I failed, I was forced to reexamine my goals, myself, and what I truly wanted.

I can't think of a reason for screaming other than to hope someone will help you. But why is it that when we are in pain, severe pain, we scream. For instance, I was watching 24 last night and JB was being tortured and he let out a scream. I started to imagine if I were being tortured (which is very hard to do since I have never been tortured) would I scream or could I refrain from screaming? I imagined myself struggling, face turning red trying not to scream but eventually giving in. I suppose there is something to screaming - such as a release of stress. Is there a physiological or psychological reason for the "need" to scream when we are suffering? Does it actually help?

I wanna be an actress but i've been working so hard at school and I 'm now specialising in scientific subjects (wich I also like). Choosing the actress thing means starting a whole new chapter and giving up everything I've worked so hard for. So, Should I choose acting (after high school) or should I stick to science?

I keep dreaming that I am running away from home, or just my enviroment, and running away to the "beyond". Whenever I wake up, I feel extremely sad and regretful. I am nowadays really confused about who I can trust, and what I am (self concious), yada yada. Do you know anything that might help me?

I often feel like this has something to do with God that I believe in, but I feel like I can distinguish which God is real, the god I know, or the god that other people say he is. I feel like I should trust him more too, but yadayada. post answers.
