And I've said this before..although this is a mad, bad dangerous to know community here..we argue, we insult, but we TALK! By all indications there are a lot of very talented individuals out there..with your own specific knowledge and expertise..Is there any way we could all get together and change things, make a difference for the common good of all? Who's up for it? And what can we do? It'd be like the dirty dozen +the magnificent seven to the power of ten!

This person is also "always right" and has to be the best at everything, very judgmental and it has to be "her way or the highway". Also, she is family (an in-law) so I can't just write her off. Any suggestions for getting along with this person that do not involve me just grinning and bearing it would be most appreciated, or is that the only real solution to keep the peace?

You've seen them. TV shows that have been around for years, that you have half the dialogue memorized from. Most TV shows get old after the first rerun. A few you pray will die sooner rather than later. So what is it about the good shows? What makes them special? Why are Gilligan's Island, Star Trek, Stargate SG-1, Charmed, CSI, and The Simpsons such perennial favorites? What's the secret of their magic?

I haven't always been this shy, and it seems like I have no communication skills. Whenever I try to talk to a person I have just met or barely know I can't say the right words. Something more like mmm, uhh, and hmm comes out. Like I said, it was always this way. This only started developing a couple years ago.

I like to play with fuzz. I don't really know why but it feels good in my fingers. If I'm not playing with fuzz, I'm biting my nails, tapping my feet, my hands, pen-clicking, playing with my hair, or finding some other way to NEVER sit still.

Am I losing my heart and ambition? Is thirty- two catching up?
As I run like a young dog, left to ask, why do I not feel like a pup?
Realism leading me down a road, a rocky, turbulent path...
Only as I walk it alone, may I feel the evident wrath...
Never feeling as if I am looked upon, as more than a guy on the freeway,
Inevitable mockery refuses to yield, or even give me any lee-way.
Stealthily I stroll past many onlookers, trying to conceal my emotion,
Determined to find a cure for this ailment, It will not be any potion.
Yearning for truth in love and life, Forced to live day to day,
I'm hurting, but I won't let it be witnessed, No how, no what, no way.
Never knowing what lies ahead, Emptiness tears me apart....
Gone is where I wish this feeling, was that resides in my heart.
My question is, where do I stand, when I feel my legs are broken,
May I reach out silently, without a tearful word being spoken?

Seriously, think about it. Being tough can deaden you to emotion and "even the coarsest sensations". Being soft can, well, make you a victim. In all earnest, think about it. Which is it better to be?
