Just wondering, how long would you call something new? One week? One month? Two months?

Actually, I think it depends on the shelf life and the cost of the product you are talking about. Consequently, a shirt might be new for a couple of weeks, but a car can be called new for about six months. Tell me how long you would call the objects given below, 'New'?

1. Shirt/trouser
2. Suit
3. Car
4. Movie
5. Home theatre
6. Computer/Laptop
7. Job
8. Watch/Jewellery

I know a friend who finds herself drawn to people who are not what they seem to me on the outside. As for me, I find myself drawn to people who are very strong. Even if they have been through a lot, they would it keep somewhere deep inside and remain strong and loving for the people around them. I think there is a moving sort of dignity about these people.

What kind of people do you find yourself drawn towards?

I have this feeling in the pit of my stomach and it is really unnerving. i get it often and sometimes it is worse than others. it seems to pop up out of the blue and hang round for a few hours a day or sometimes even a week. it is really weird and it makes me feel confused, sad, andgry and just plain down. i really don't like it and i wish i knew why i got it.

I mean if God says is immoral, it's immoral, no ifs or buts right? I don't have anything against anyone but I am a Christian and brought up to understand that is not OK, unless you repent your sins. I seemed to have asked a lot of questions about gay people. As I mentioned under my Avatar that it directly resembled me in real life, and I am having a lot of problems where these homo's are chasing me arouind. It's funny, but at the same time it's not. You see, I feel ungodly wrong about even being chased by these guys. I don't want to go to hell just because I have to deal with one. God I hope Jesus forgive me for even doing this questions. Thanks for your opinions.

The American myth is a frontier mentality: conquer new lands, exploit it and become rich. There is always a Western frontier, a place to go and start over where there are riches just for the taking for a hardy spirit and determined worker.

What myth can replace the American frontier mentality?

I decided 3 days ago to abstain & go cold turkey, it is now 70 hours since i last had a drink & all i have experienced so far is fatigue but just started to feel nauseas. Am i out of the danger zone of risk of DT's? (delerium tremens) ? Thanks

Here is part of a recent article in the paper. Would you stay with your husband if he did this?

In an incident that at first left police incredulous, two men were charged Thursday in Southington with shooting a man in the leg with a blowgun. Police said the man was shot as he walked out of a store on Queen Street.

The man was one of three people shot apparently at random in the space of half an hour Thursday in Plainville and Southington. In all three cases, the attackers drove past their victim as they fired, police said.

Police in Plainville said two people were shot with blowgun darts there shortly before the Southington incident. They believe the two men arrested in Southington are the culprits in the Plainville attacks also.

Arrested were Jason Plourde, 27, of Waterbury, and Edward Youle, 33, of Southington. Police said they found three blowguns and a box of darts in their sport-utility vehicle.

"They thought it was funny," Southington Police spokesman said

I am on a 5 day vacation from work. I have spent the last couple days with my daughter going out shopping and stuff. I have been getting up early and ending up tired at the end of the day. I slept pretty good and feel pretty good today but I am feeling that unmotivated feeling again. I make plans and wake up not wanting to do anything. I had planned on taking the bus downtown and to eat and spend a little time there and then take the bus back. Mainly just some time to listen to my ipod and ride around. It is gloomy out and might rain hard but then again the sun is coming out a little. I really don't want to go downtown now but I feel if I cancel that I am giving into my lack of motivation. Should I go on with my plans and take the chance of getting stuck in the rain or just stay in and relax today and just go down the street to get some lunch to bring back? I am feeling a little let down because I spent the last couple days with my daughter but these next 2 days I won't be.

I think the media has society in the palm of it's hand. There aren't too many people who think for themselves in this day and age. The media has it's standard of beauty and everyone just agrees for some reason.

It's like if you don't look like this, wear this, talk like this, something is wrong with YOU. There are so many people CONFORMING to this 'standard' which is just ridiculous because women are individiuals, NOT an object so therefore we come in different shapes, colors and sizes. If everyone could just accept everyone for who they are, society as a whole would be moving in the right direction.

So, women: is it hard for you to maintain a healthy self-image in this superficial world?
