What planet did you kids grow up on? I have never heard so much whining & crying & TEMPER TANTRUMS outside of a nursery school. Just wait - you will see even more unfairness; it's positively correlated with LIFE EXPERIENCE.

This is mainly a follow-up question to the one below. Do you think there's a difference in reaction between men and women when their spouses cheat? Who do you think fears cheating more? men or women?

Personally, I don't see it as a gender thing. I think most people would be pissed if their partner cheated on them.

Let me get this straight....

Child support is for the CHILD
Abortion is for the WOMAN

So what is for the man?

Women argue that forcing men to pay child support is in the best interest of the CHILD. So I guess abortion is also in the best interest of the child too.. right?

I just think that if WOMEN get to have abortions.. MEN should have the OPTION of child support. Meaning we should have the right to NOT pay it.

Again:

Child support is for the CHILD
Abortion is for the WOMAN

So what is for the man?

ABC-News article "Hillary Clinton Calls for Investigation Into Gang-Rape Allegations" which involves American employer, KBR, then a subsidiary of Halliburton.
http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/Story?id=3989078&page=1

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., is calling for a formal government investigation into allegations that a young female American contractor was gang-raped in Iraq and then held incommunicado in a large shipping container by her American employer, KBR, then a subsidiary of Halliburton.

"These claims must be taken seriously and the U.S. government must act immediately to investigate Ms. Jones' claims," Sen. Clinton wrote in a letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Attorney General Michael Mukasey.

As the Blotter on ABCNews.com reported this week, Jamie Leigh Jones says that after she'd been raped by multiple assailants in her room at a KBR camp in the Green Zone in the summer of 2005. It's not a popular case to act on.

This is not to say that men shouldn't be allowed to become gynecologists, or that other women are stupid for letting men work on them down there. This is only to say that an individual feminist would feel more comfortable being examined by a female gynecologist. Is it wrong?

According to an AP article titled "Arsonists blamed for fire at abortion clinic": http://kob.com/article/stories/s278550.shtml

Arsonists have set fire to an abortion clinic that destroyed the clinic's exam room. That's according to Jake Gonzales of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' Albuquerque office.

Gonzales says no one was injured in the fire Thursday night at Abortion Acceptance of Albuquerque. The practice is owned by Doctor Curtis Boyd, who has been providing abortions in New Mexico since 1972. Boyd says he remains committed to tolerance, even though his office looks like a war zone.

Gonzales says guests at a nearby hotel overlooking the clinic told investigators they saw two hooded figures outside the clinic windows just before the fire was reported. He says the suspects dumped a gasoline can in the room and then lit it as they stood outside.

Why do some people think they are above the law? No one is torching anti-abortion clinics.

I used to give my ex his and put clear nail polish on his nails, which he was fine with and didn't consider "too pretty," but he thought it's too "pretty" to walk into a nail saloon to get them done (never understood the difference). When I see guys with nice hands and feet with clear nail polish, I always think they are well taken care of. However, I have heard guys saying manicures and pedicures for guys are totally "gay."

What are your thoughts?

Like they want equality in the corporate world, but not when it comes to the military or dating or child custody, fixing their own car, etc...

Why is this ok? I can't think of any areas of life feminists seek equality were true equality would actually benefit men.

And if its really about EQUALITY... who benefits should not matter. It should be about PEOPLE.. not WOMEN.

Abortion for instance.. should be about the good of BOTH parents and the child. But it always gets shifted to "the woman has to go through blah blah blah..." Nevermind the child support the man has to pay when he doesn't want the kid.

When did whats good for WOMEN become more improtant than whats good for SOCIETY??

I'm waiting for this answer: " Wait till you get pregnant and see what its like.. then you can decide!!! "

--- yeah once again.. whats good for the WOMAN is all that matters...

For me it is my dad and how he continued to unconditionally love and care for my mom, even after they divorced (I was 1). Their marriage was rocky with slips and falls, but they managed to distinguish between their failed marriage and being a united team of parents. My dad always put my mother's well-being as his top priority to make sure his child is taken care of.

Yesterday he told me about his will and that he has even included my mother to be entitled to the same percentage as his wife of 15 years. His words were "she's the mother of my child and this is the least I can do for her..." :)

His actions have not only given me stable parents and support but he has also positively affected the type of men I would allow myself to be involved with.

Who has positively influenced your life? It can even be something negative that you used to positively change/influence your life.

Well we stopped talking a couple of weeks ago b/c his wife was finding out and going w/him everywhere including the gym. There is still an attraction there def.! Tonight I was up there playing with my b/f and the other guy was also there playing his friend. One time, I got up and walked by him and he smiled at me.Then later he walked passed me and banged his racquet right by my leg up against the bleacher thing I was sitting on and looked at me and smiled and asked me if my b/f was mad cuz of him. I catch him looking at me when he is playing w/ his friends. I just want to know from a guy what all this means? I feel like he still likes me... he is still flirting with me... am i right? I often hear people say in the Gender and Women's Studies YA Forum that they know what feminists think, as though all feminists have a party line or the same exact belief system.

Yet others complain that feminism is inconsistent, since many feminists have different sets of beliefs. Other social sciences like Psychology have many different types of psychologists, theories, and ideas, as well as Sociology. Biotechnology, a blend of science and technology, is made up of many different ideas and theories, and no one knows if money being invested in different types of biotechnology will come up with a useful product. Why is Gender and Women's Studies held to a higher standard than other social sciences like Psychology or Sociology?

My interest has been peaked about this subject lately because I'm readying a book that although it is fiction it takes place in both present day Egypt and Egypt in the 1950's & 60's. I was wondering if it was still done. Or was it even done during that time period? Is it practiced in the US or has it ever been practiced here?

Pretty much any information that you know on the subject can you please share with me.

Thank you so very much for your answers.

Submissive women are just as strong, smart and outgoing as non-submissive women yet so many say that to be submissive is to be stupid or a doormat. That's just not true.

For those men who don't seem to like strong or independent women, what do you think of women who serve in the military? How do you feel about women serving in armed forces and at war?
