Yes. But no. No more than anyone else. On unfaithfulness. But two-faced, yep.

I cannot answer for all those who have been mistreated by a wife, lover, girlfriend or acquaintance, only for my own personal experience. Yes, there are some women who behave very much the same way as do many men. I had someone be unfaithful to me, but I got over it. Most women/females are decent, moral and well adjusted members of society. But there are the exceptions. Don't ever condemn the majority of a gender for the actions of a minority. The act would be beneath you.

Yes.
Evolution has taught women to manipulate men to get what they want. It is far easier and safer to spend energy manipulating men, than to go out hunting.

No. Both sexes cheat, though for different reasons, ultimately, but I think men are slightly ahead of women in the cheating department. Two faced? Do not know.
By the way. To those who insist on harping about " generalizations ", take the question as one normally distributed in manner. Most educated people would do just that.
You must think of evolutionary reasons, Oracle. Men cheat, as always, to leave a maximum amount of descendants. Women cheat to improve their progeny's genetic quality, while having a mate to support them otherwise.( across many species )
These ultimate reasons are just mediated and initiated by the proximate reasons you gave. Remember, there are two levels of causation in humans; ultimate ( evolutionary ) and proximate. ( cultural, societal and unique )

Do people here have a propensity to generalize? And include all of the world's 3.5 billion women under one category?

Just as much as men. It is in human nature to be gregarious. Both sexes cheat, lie, and create chaos in their relationships. Both parties involved are responsible for their bad behaviour, if one is cheating, there is something the other one has done or not done to drive them to it unless they like bein a playa...

No more than men, although I'd be interested to know what these 'different reasons' are.
People do it for sex, neediness, and adventure.
[edit] Jon, that's a fair explanation and most likely true.
