What planet did you kids grow up on? I have never heard so much whining & crying & TEMPER TANTRUMS outside of a nursery school. Just wait - you will see even more unfairness; it's positively correlated with LIFE EXPERIENCE.

Well it started with pass/fail. Continued with banishing dodgeball. And now everyone gets a trophy in sports.
Blame the PC idiots. No one is allowed to feel bad, might hurt their self esteem you know.

Leave it to Beaver (it wasn't shown on tv here the first time round, but we caught the repeats).

Doesn't everything always 'turn out right in the end' in tv shows and the movies? And usually in 21 minutes, or 45 minutes if it's an hour long presentation.

If you spend your whole life never communicating with actual people, you might think life is really like what's on the screen.

Cheers :-)

Here, here! It shouldn't have to be pointed out past kindergarten...it should be common sense.

Other gems from kindergarten:
1) Not everyone is going to like you.
2) It's not polite to shout (SHOUT!).
3) That's paste little fella, not candy.

no one teaches kids that life is fair, what they teach them is the concept of fairness....sadly, they all seem to decide for themselves what is actually fair and what isn't, and most of them are wrong and don't find out until much later in their lives that their concept of fairness is a myth.

It's part of being taught right and wrong.

Not a kid, but still wanted to answer.

or how about trying to change things you see as unfair in a smart, positive way?

you have to pro-active to make a difference, not whiny and insulting.

i am DONE with those questions.

Because elementary schools are infested with female teachers.

Until men represent 99% of the teaching profession, our culture is teaching kids a falsehood.
