Hi there.

I have a spouse whos currently deployed in Iraq.
The 3rd major concern behind death and injury, seems tobe PSTD for those that return home.

Ive heard theres Virtual Reality desensitizing therapy thats being done that puts soldiers in realistic scenarios within a controlled environment, in order to evenutally desensitive them and help them to cope with their experiences and understand they are now safe.

It made me think of one step further.

What if groups of soldiers were put within a more realistic video, like an IMAX theatre.
Where the visuals arent as video game-ish looking as they virtual reality appeared.
But to overwhelm their senses to touch upon those experiences in a way that only an IMAX scenario could.

Then after youve opened them up
HAVE THE SOLDIERS HELP eachother...
by discussing their feelings amongst their peers

I am 7 years old. The dream is set in my mothers bedroom. There is a red ball rolling around the room. As it goes around the room it gets bigger and bigger until it fills the room. I am aware that there is only the corners of the room left. I wake before the outcome of the dream....

Any ideas?

Im in high school, and my class has a phone interview with Noam Chomsky on Friday.

My teacher wants the class to come up with 3 questions each to ask him

The problem is, I cant think of anything to ask.

If you were going to ask Mr. Chomsky a question[s], what would it they be?

Im basically asking for questions to ask him because I cant think of any

My boyfriend had this dream and this is what he saw.... He was in our room and amazed at how much free space was available by moving the bed to another location in the room. He did not physically move the bed in his dream it was just kind of already in this position and we were amazed by how much space was available. Then he saw a lion cub that was walking from our room, down the hallway to the dining room.

Okay so I can see that there is evidence for microevolution, survival of the fittest and all but what about macroevolution, I mean how on earth would an eye evolve?! what kind of mutation would lead to something as complex as an eye arising, or a kidney. Surely eyes didn't evolve gradually over time?!

My girl might call from work, say hi, then we can be silent for like 10 minutes humming beats and stuff. I can say "I guess Ill talk to you later!" she wont let me hang up, she'll find something to talk about.

So we wind up silent for an hour. As men, we call, say what we have to say, then we gone.

There are plenty of people in the world who lead irresolvably miserable lives, yet they keep going. Perhaps many of them find a way to keep hope alive, but we know that not all of them do. In many (if not most) societies, there is a taboo that surrounds suicide. Some religions warn us that if we kill ourselves we'll either go to hell or that we'll have the same lessons in misery in the next life, because we didn't learn everything we were supposed to in this one. Societies also often teach us that suicide is selfish and unacceptable, no matter what the circumstances are. If there weren't a taboo surrounding suicide, would more people put themselves out of their own misery?

Attractive women for the most part, are considered by men.. to be at the top of the food chain. They are the women most men want or wish they could get. Men do not deny this.

Women claim to focus on LOVE and CHEMISTRY when picking men.. but this seems to be false. The women who are considered the BEST according to society often pursue men with money, and/or power and status. They want BAD BOYS and RICH MEN. Not the nice guys who will treat them like a queen. Thats the reputation they have.

Why do they have this reputation?

Men have a reputation for seeking physically attractive women... and last I checked.. most do.. or at least want to.

I say actions speak louder than words. Why do women deny something that is so obvious to men? We see what you DO so why should listen to what you SAY when it doesn't match your actions?

I told him and I went out and bought him Christmas gifts. Well on Christmas he accused me of cheating on him and said I didn't deserve to get anything from him. I didn't cheat on him and I don't know why his attitude changed so quick. I was able to take some of the things back but not all. When my birthday and valentines day (he did call and say happy valentines day.) had passed at the end of February we started talking again and he said he would make it up to me but he never did. He is still being nice to me telling me how much he loves me. Christmas is coming around again. Should I buy him gifts this year also should I be be preparing my heart for him to flip out on me again? I love him but part of me is still holding back because I'm afraid he'll hurt me again.

What do people think of this? "asking for a chance"?

Here in the UK, everything has gone mad... i want to spread the word about this story because it is so appalling that someone could be treated this way.
