How come women like to talk on the phone when there is nothing to talk about?

My girl might call from work, say hi, then we can be silent for like 10 minutes humming beats and stuff. I can say "I guess Ill talk to you later!" she wont let me hang up, she'll find something to talk about.

So we wind up silent for an hour. As men, we call, say what we have to say, then we gone.

It's not just us. My guy calls every night, somewhere along the line he made up his mind that this was his "duty" but half the time he'll just sit there saying nothing or "I'm waiting for you to talk". LOL.

So last night I suggested we talk every other day or so, he thought that was a good idea because we both said we were kind of past the 2 hour a night phone conversation stage.

3 hours later we finished the conversation and hung up. LOL

I don't talk on the phone cause I have nothing to say; I just sit there and twirl the wire, wishing I had more to say. The last time I talked on the phone had to have been about six months ago, that's all besides to the schools my kids go to.

because talking on the phone is next to being together. that's why women likes to call their man even if there's no reason at all. they just want to hear his voice etc. usually (for some girls that is) gf's think about their bf the whole day when it's not the case about men.

I don't like to talk on the phone. I only make phone calls when absolutely necessary and then will try to end the conversation as soon as possible.

what you say is a sweeping generalization. i do, indeed, like to talk on the phone more than most of the men i know, but i'm mostly talking to my female friends, who DO have something to say! women enjoy talking and conversing and being social, so maybe they enjoy chatting on the phone at times. i've known plenty of men who do, too, though. it really depends on the person.

i hate talking on the phone, much less sitting there *not* talking!
maybe she wants to talk to you, but cant think of anything to say?? not sure why some people do this...

To feel each other out, see who is the weaker and who is the stronger female. It may be playful with some, but with fake women, it can get dirty.

I need to grow a penis, I do the same thing. Talking over the phone is so impersonal. Can't stand it.
