'“…reports of violent targeting of the homeless are rising sharply in America. According to Hate, Violence, and Death on Main Street USA, a 2006 report from the National Coalition for the Homeless (NCH), 26 states recorded assaults or murders of homeless people committed last year, not counting so-called "homeless-on-homeless" violence. Nationwide, there were 142 reported attacks on homeless persons, up 65% from the 86 logged in 2005, and up almost 300% from the 36 docked in 2002. Included among the 2006 crimes were five rapes, six people set on fire and 20 murders. These numbers are almost certainly low, because a high percentage of attacks on the homeless are believed to go unreported.

KK I just want to know why I look so ugly in pictures, but when I record myself on video camera I look decent, and like the person that I see in the mirror. Is it just that I am not photogenic, or is my video camera more accurate than my camera?

tired of it. I don't even want to attempt to start over again with anyone else because I think it will always be the same. I'm starting to see some good things about being alone. I can pick out my own house and car and the only opinion that will matter is my own. I can travel when I want and have who I want as friends. I can get a puppy to give me lots of attention and I know it won't leave me when start to love it. I'm 23 now and I realize my life is better without a man. Does anyone else feel like this?

I had a test today in bio, bio assignmnet due today, an english report due tomorow, a physics quiz sometime this week (class already past chapter 6, I didn't even begin the new unit-never do my homework) and computer programs due today and I have non done! I had a week but I was very lazzzy. My mom and dad are very nervous about my grades sliping and me not going to school and being late every time I do go (I didn't go today) and I think that I am depressed. i recently had a dream about my ex girlfriend. we broke up because she wanted to get way to serious and get engaged and married to early. we were 19

im about to turn 21 now and im going out with another girl now which i like a lot better. we don't fight like i did with my ex, plus on top of it all, my ex had a lot of psychological problems; bipolar, borderline personality disorder, and schizophrenia

anyway, she's been seeing some weird guy who seems really sketchy but im glad im out of it, but i was surprised when a friend of mine told me she is pregnant and is engaged now

in my dream, i dreamed that i went to her house, knocked on her door, she answered, i listened to her belly and felt the baby kick. then her bf walked up behind her and looked at me, and i walked away feeling kinda like i was being looked down on. then someone walked out of her house and almost spit on me and my ex goes 'omg i thought you were going to spit on him' and she laughed. what does it mean?

enough when the bullying gets out of controll? I think people don't take school bullying serious enough. The emotional sometimes combined with the physical abuse, and the threats can affect the child as a whole, and not to metional the academic decline. Yes, we need to continue taking child abuse from all angles very seriously but I think a lot of people forget that school bullying is not an abuse b/c the abuse is being inflicted from a child to a child.
Do you think the schools are not vigilant enough? What about the parents, do you think the parents of the bully are not open minded and have too much of that "oh my child would never do that complex?

I just read about Earl Paulk. I am disgusted by the accusations against him. He used God to coerce women into having sex with him. One woman had a 14 year affair with him before she broke it off. One thing shocks me is that in today's age, you would think women would be more educated so they would not fall for this type of trap. I find ot hard to believe that somebody would think that having sex with a man would give them salvation. What is it about men in powerful postions that will make women fall for them even when in the back of their minds, they have a feeling that the guy is no good?

Recently a Saudia Arabian woman was gang raped by 7 Saudi men. She was sentenced to 80 lashes for this & when she spoke out against this punishment, they increased the punishment to 200 lashes. Her lawyer was disbarred for appealing the sentence. What concerns me is the way the plight of this woman has been ignored by the politically correct of both the left & right. I would think those with a real concern for women's rights would be very upset about the situation... what do you think?
