God I hope not!

Yes, that can happen.

A possible scenario is being sharply awakened when one is in an exploratory state during deep meditation. An out-of-body experience requires time and opportunity to re-orient the two components, and the jolt of energy that causes the sharp awakening can disturb the alignment process, leaving them out of synch, as suggested, and that can leave/create the impression of insanity.

No! my friends label me insane, crazy, Lost in space.
Why??? because I am so in touch with myself that I have NO FEAR of the opinions of others when I express myself somehow.
If I was OUT of SYNC I would NOT be this pleased with my own insanity!
Nope, insanity is spirit and physical body in sync with themselves, YET different from the rest of the WORLD!!!!!!!!!
I KNOW THIS IS A FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes, very much like that. part of their soul in another plane and speaking to others that we can't see, but also it can be a weak person who's been semi-possessed by a spirit thats stuck on earth. there might be other possibilities as well. anyway thats what i'm thinking.
