With all the hoopla women in recent years have made about being able to do for themselves, why do women get mad when men dont open doors for them or make a simple little compliment and turn it into sexual harassment? Can you have it both ways? Have we scared them into a central way of thinking about all of us?

Hey this is Will, the other 1/2 of the "Kotonii & Will" YA account (see profile). this is about my twin sister Court (Kotonii).

She suffered depression about a year ago when people who were supposed to be friends asked this guy out for her when she didn't like him. It ruined her whole reputation at school and it wasn't until her friend, (who has been depressed before), told her that it "doesn't matter who she is, she just needs to know that she's a confident, intelligent and caring person and she shouldn't care about what others say" that she decided that being a pessimest wouldn't work anymore. Gradually she got better. Until yesterday, she caught her Boyf cheating on her with his ex!! It broke her heart when they talked later and he said that he never liked her and that she was an ugly, retarded person and that she should die. I really want to help her because she's ALWAYS been there for me, and i would feel really bad for the rest of my life if i couldn't help her.

i see so many ugly people and i wonder how they have so much confidence. i work at a fast food restaurant and i see lots of fat, ugly, middle aged women who want their food made special like they'll ask me to make a fresh batch of french fries just for them so they can have "hot fries". why do they think they are so special that they can't eat the same fries everyone else is being served? does anyone out there do this too? why?

People often say that tolerance is a good thing. Is it always a good thing?
If so, explain why?
If not, in what conditions is it appropriate not to be tolerant of some act or policy?

I was wondering to those who has or had SA, does seeing a shrink or taking medication really get rid of your fear of making speeches or doing presentations?

What I don't get is how someone can take a drug then just forget they have SA or have those feelings go away.
I guess I don't really believe in it which is why I never seeked helped.

Those self help books did not help me, nor does audio tapes. Tried both of those.

any feedback is appreciated.
Thanks

Nature wiped out Dinosaurs & the Humans quickly filled in to claim this planet but despite all their "intelligence" they couldn't learn to live in harmony with nature. It seems nature wants to correct this anomaly.

Strange are the ways of nature. If all the P-5 of the security council had leaders like GWB, nature would have taken its revenge long ago.

This isn't depression or conceit. I've felt this way since I was 6 years old. I never played with other children and have always felt disconnected from humanity in some way. Do other people feel like this?

Okay, so I was reading this other girls question when I remembered my own dreams.... I am consistently having these dreams of my best friend dying! Like I have had five or six of them in the past couple of weeks! And get this, at the same time my dreams started, when I told him about it, he said that HE was having dreams that he was dying too! Is he gong to die? do you guys believe in dream interpretation? Apparently this could mean a birth or marraige or something.

This guy came over to me at a bar and whispered in my ear "you are beautiful...and don't let anyone ever tell you that you're not"? He then left the place. I was so confused... I also think he was gay (which makes me very confused). Any thoughts?
