Social Science - 20 March 2007

Im walking along in a garden, and stop at a conservatory, i enter and see goldfish floating/flying in the air, my eye is then drawn to a fish tank with butterflies flying in water!..another is that im in a room with numerous fishtank, full with dying fish im running back and forth filling the tanks with fresh water trying to save the fish..these two dreams have been recurring for past year. a dream ive had since ive been a kid is that of a helicopter crashing in my front garden, its caused me to become very panicky when i see a helicopter fly overhead, anyone know what thee dreams mean/symbolise, thanks

just curious...what happens to good girls and where are they??...ok, good is a relative thing and its not really what am asking... a better word might be 'simple girls', you know, girls who dont like to go out and get drung, who dont like to spend hours gossiping with their girlfriends about guys, who are not radical feminists, who dont change partners as they change their shoes...i know us guys can be assholes to and its probably what drove girls to be this way, but still...where are those honest, sweet, down-to-earth kinda girls?

I have been indecise about a choice for about one year, I can't decide where to go ....Each time, I try to make a step forward, things seem illogic, I retracted ...I don't know what I want anymore ...!! 1.I've not spoken to my close female friend for 4 months as we got to close.I told her that I wanted no contact so that I could get over my feelings for her. She only wanted to be friends.WE WERE NEVER A COUPLE

2.1 month ago she sent a txt saying the friendship is OVER and for me to get on with my life.

3.A week later we met at a friends reunuion party,we spoke a lot but she looked hurt and uncomfortable. At the end of the night she hugged me tightly and said take care+we'll see each other on the group roadtrip.

4.Today I wrote her an email(via facebook,where we've emailed ech other a few times) asking if we're still friends(was confused as she said the friendship is over).

She wrote back saying:"Yes emailings great.Yes we are still friends. Yes, I'm very busy. Yes, I'm sure you are too xx"--WHY SO BLUNT/RUDE REPLY???

5.IS SHE STILL HURT AFTER 4 MONTHS(due to me wanting a break)??? Does she miss the attention from me(used to meet every 2 weeks)?

Sometimes I go to Whole Foods (a "natural, organic" type of food store in the U.S.). And I've noticed that virtually all the shoppers there are white. A very few Indian immigrants. I have only ever seen one black person there, and that appeared to be an actual African immigrant as opposed to an African American. Oh, and every employee I have ever seen there, without exception, has been young and white.

Does that imply some kind of racism? Seems that ethnic minorities all shop at Wal-Mart and the regional discount grocery store in this area.

Minimum taxation might be used towards external defense, but everything else; ie. industry, welfare, education, etc. even internal security would be privatised. This would remove the need for the tax system, and the public would know where their money was going. - It might almost cut out the government altogether!

I regularly post small parcels and letters around the UK. I have tried Royal Mail's normal post, Special Delivery and recorded Delivery but they still keep losing my mail. When I try to complain or claim compensation they are so obstructive and they make it so difficult that it's pointless carrying on with the complaint. Postwatch appear to be aware of the problems but powerless to solve them. Has anyone found an alternative service to post small letters around the UK at a reasonable price (I've tried Couriers, they are too expensive for small letters.)

I have sufficient income to live comfortably, but not extravagantly. Still, I'm very uneasy about money and I tend to avoid dealing with it as much as possible...
procrastinating when it comes to paying bills,
balancing the checkbook, etc.
I'm not so slow that I get late fees, but I wonder what the heck is wrong with me???

I have had this phobia since i was a child and i am now 28. i can't be near people who have a stomach bug and go into panic mode when my young son gets sick. My family think in stupid and my husband thinks it is a joke. I have left jobs because of it and never went to school. I constantly feel sick and medicines to prevent this are ruling my life i have been sick once in the past 17 years and fear the day it will happen again. it is ruining my life and i feel i can't cary on like this and something needs to be done but what? please help or do you know where i can get help?

We are friends since 12 years ago. We started developing strong feelings for each other last year. I am involved with a friend we both know and love. We live in separate countries so when he comes visit he stays with us. He came visit us last Christmas with some friends. We would be in a room all together and we would look at each other by chance...we could not take our eyes off of each other's for seconds, even if we wanted to, and it felt as if everybody else in the room desapeared, just the 2 of us... during this mutual extended gaze I would feel as if I was seeing his soul and his heart and how much he loves me and as if he was seeing the same in me. It happened several times during 10 days every day. It was like we wanted to tell each other how we felt but we couldn't with words so we did it through our eyes? Weird but amazing! I can say I know now for certain how he feels and I know he knows now, it was so obvious for the two of us...anybody has ever experienced this?
