I can't make it here in adeveloping country. I want to shift to the U.S and start farming there.

Hard numbers are difficult to find. I've seen estimates that the average farmer gets about $16,000 in subsidies. Sounds like a lot? Not really......

My father is a farmer, and an acre of land costs about $3000 in his area. A "small" farm is about 160 acreas, so you would need about 1/2 a million dollars just to get the land. Then, there is machinery, hired labor, seeds, fertilizer, and what not.

In your first year of farming, there will likely be threats of floods, droughts, hail, tornadoes, and the IRS.

I'm not sure where you live, but you will have a diffiult time here in the US as a farmer.
