If so, to what lengths do you go to uphold such a standard?

You can ask for anything as long as it's legal and in accord with the Godmother Code of Ethics.

I'm 18 and in high school and live with my parents. I'm going to a local community college, about 30 min from my house next year. My parents want me to live with them for another year or so but I don't know if I can. Because my parents and being around them make me feel so small. I love them and really appreciate that they try to do everything for me but it has made me get a big inferiority complex, made me feel guilty, and made me hate myself and feel incompetent, weak, and immature. When I'm around them it gets worse, and its getting to the point where I can barely stand being around them because of these feelings and I feel so at peace when I'm alone. The thing is though I have no money to get a place, they've kept me from getting a job for five years no matter how much I begged to have one, even just to get rid of some of the guilt. I decided that I can't let them keep me from having a job anymore, I need the money and if I'm getting a place I'm going to have to work basically 24/7 this summer, which I was planning to do anyway. But I feel like they won't have it, they want me to live at home, they even expected me when I was thinking of going to a state college an hour and a half away to commute back and forth every day and live at home. They're having a really hard time letting go and I get that and feel for them but at the same time they;re not TRYING, and I'm TRYING to be as understanding as possible but its just making me more depressed. I seriously just get so much satisfaction just going on my own and interacting with people and knowing I cna do it without them hanging over me, but its crazy they want to go EVERYWHERE with me even though there's no point of them being there and I can drive now. And my mom's nuts she insists on doing things like my hair sometimes and it makes me feel so immature and hate myself and she gets depressed when I don't let her do it. I mean its getting to me and my self esteem, its been going on so long. And I just can't stand up to them no matter how much I may want to so I'm thinking the best thing to do is leave.

Sometimes I dream about stuff that actually happens. I have a lot of deja vu's because I will dream about it in a dream and some times in real life I see the same scene as I did in my dreams. I had a dream one night I saw these girls sitting in front of the mall right in front of this certain store. Two days later I got in a fight with a kid in front of this store and looked over and his friends were the 2 girls sitting in the same spot. Other things that hint around about being psychic are when I know something is going to happen. A lot of times when I get picked out of a drawing and right before they read the name I can tell it's going to be me. It kind of freaks me out sometimes. Anyone feel the same way at times?

I watched a clip from the new Zodiac movie about him being on a show and saying how his head hurt after he killed a boy. For some reason I found that really interesting and looked it up. Apparently the Zodiac did suffer from painful headaches. Why was this? Is it a condition or something?

A person with this real condition suffers from the compulsion to do what?

(I know the answer, but I wanted to see what people would guess. I will post the real answer after the question closes.)

Is this something you can tell by the current year or do you have to wait a few years before actually coming to a conclusion about a certain year? Just curious. Taking economics.

As for me : I have had many shattered dreams, "EVENTUALLY".. I just left them exactly where they were.. and concentrated on making some new one.. Ones that wouldn't shatter so easily (I also made sure the shattered dreams didn't cut me up to much.) realistic ones, everything worked out for the better, now my dreams are reality....
>>>>>>>>
So, how about you??

Thanks, for answering in advance!:)

*Have a beautiful day/night*

This was a question asked in a debt article addressing the habits of Americans to purchase things like TV's, sofa's, boats, or even clothes on credit.

So, what is it that we want most in life?

What are we sacrificing?

Why do we do it?

Do we have an over-whelming problem with delaying gratification?

How or what skills do we teach our children that will help them not fall into the debt trap?
