I am not certain what to do. One neighbor came last week and entered my home & accused me of:
a. Having multiple affairs (because i have a male friend whom i occasionally go out for coffee with - my husb and i also double date with he and his wife!)
b. Being a prostitute (WTH?)
c. Running an illegal business out of my home
d, Being a member of a nudist colony (I am a member of the SCA and we have meetings on Wed nights)

These two women are beyond vicious. I am a stay at home mom, substitute teacher, and officer in the PTA! None of these RIDICULOUS and vicious lies are true.
Problem is, I am nice. I explained to this woman for two hours how false these lies were and offered her proof. I know that was ridiculous to do, but I am a NICE PERSON (apparently, rare in our neighborhood).
One of these women is an avid "christian", and that makes me ill to even think about. what is SHE thinking?

So, what do I do? How can I hold them accountable w/o sinking to their level?

I cant feel the joy or happiness, even though my life is good. I have a great family and good friends, however I cant seem to feel good about anything, I feel oppressed and persecuted. I know the value of having a faith, but even that is not real to me at the moment, It is like a big black mist surrounding me

We can either destroy all the video games in the country, or we can watch our kids destroy their IQ's and that will be the beginning of the end of our country's future.

I noticed when i´ve been drinking, i want to go off and buy candy, which is something that i usually try not to do, as i´m trying to not gain weight, but when i´ve had a couple, i can barely resist it. the only thing that similarly fills up my tummy is if someone flirts with me or produces some sort of sexual arrousal. when i drink, i go on an undeniable pleasure fest, is this normal, especially the sweets part?

I have a fear of embarrassing myself in public. I don't have a fear of public places but I have a fear of either gettign sick to stomach or not making it to bathroom in time for the other thing. This is a stupid fear and I hate that it bothers me. I am trying to convince myself that stuff like this doesn't just happen to me. People get sick or something all the time out in public. I feel sometimes taht I'm almost suppose to be perfect. I'm very sociable but this fear bothers me. I know everyone has certian preferences. I do not like big crowds nor goign out in public much. I'm a homebody, and I'm happy with that. But when I do go out this is my fear. I have a minor case of IBS which I feel contributes to this fear. I have come to realization however I need to conquer this fear so I have basically told myself to get over it and that one I do not need to care what others think of me and that people will not judge me if I get sick or have to rush to bathroom. Is this how to conquer

I've read studies purporting to show that other countries or regions - other economies - have a higher standard of living than the US.

The fault I find with these studies is that they all first pre-define "standard of living" in terms of specific factors, which in economic terms represent specific purchases made through mandatory tax levels higher than those in the US. If the federal government began a music program in which it took money from everyone and provided us each with a CD, it could do that cheaper than we buy our own CDs- it could provide us each with a Miles Davis CD for $8 instead of $15. That would improve my standard of living. But if YOU don't like jazz, YOU'RE out the whole $15. You might not like hiking trails either and you might not get sick often.

"Standard of living" in terms of specific items is subjective - the only objective measure is choice, which in economic terms means per capita income and wealth. Any other measure is a mere contrivance.

This initial iniquity sets the tone and impacts the perception of women a lot. This is especially true with thinking men who are after something other than sex. Here's my main point: Demanding that the guy asks you out, then pays for dates (first 3 or more) has quite negative effects on her ability to demand she be respected as an equal. There are numerous other examples where women demand to be taken care of......but still expect to be treated as an equal, but this is certainly an example of this that comes up early and is extremely common. Of course there are exceptions, but I'm interested in whether women are aware of the effect of this expectation. Oh....and please don't start with the cost of attire and makeup.

I really don't want to heard political crap, just why almost thirty thousand dollars per person debt makes sense. This is more then most people owe on credit cards, and a lot of peoples largest IOU (which will not be written off).

This is about my husband and i really need help. He has been seeing such dreams often. The last one he told me was that he went to office and he is waiting for himself to come back home but he didn't. Second is there are riots happening outside home. People are killing each other. so he tries to run away. he sees lot of killings happening but nobody is doing anything to him.. suddenly someone comes to him and say .. oh! see , no point killing him. he is already dead. But the last night experice has been the worst. He woke up mid night and was in really bad state. The dream he saw was that someone is coming from the back and trying to kill him and scare him that he/it will kill him. the worst was the fear. he got so scared that in dream he decided to kill himself. and when he's doing that, the he/it laughs and goes away. when he woke up, he said the impact was so strong that he could have sleep walked and killed himself. Plz help. what do i do .. what does this mean?

No one has passed yet (thank God), but I started thinking about it. I'm particularly interested in feedback based on individuals' experiences with young kids and funerals, as well as child counselors/psychologists, who have educated insight on this matter. How young is too young to be exposed to this emotional experience, considering the death AND all the sadness at the funeral?
