I know a liar. I'm not sure if the compulsive tag fits or not. "Compulsive" makes it sound like a person can't help the lying. Is that true? Is it a medical/psychological condition?

Nothing offensive meant by this. We enjoy telling other people about ourselves, why do you think that is?

Maybe the housemates are being nasty to Mrs Popadom because she is nasty. Isn't it also racist to be nice and say nice things because the colour of their skin? NOTE: J.Jackson's coloured and nothing's said about him because he's not nasty!
If Shilpa was Welsh, she would be called Mrs Leek or Scottish she would be Mrs Haggis or American she would be Mrs Burger.

My friend lied to me about setting me up with this guy she knew from home. She posed as him for almost four years and I believed her. Finally, I confronted her on it and she told the truth. She has post traumatic stress syndrome and it comes from that. She isn't gay or bi. I am so hurt though that I don't know what to do. I don't want to walk out on her life. How should I handle this? I don't trust what she says to me, but I want answers. Where do I go from here?

For instance, why is there a "women's studies" section and not a "men's studies" section. If the tables were turned, some of us women would have a fit and start a petition.

Why is it that in seeking out our rights to be treated equally ( which are definetly our rights) so many women see the need to push it further and make us "better"? It seems to me that some women are not looking for equality but superiority to the male gender.

Does anyone else see this trend? Just my rambling thoughts... looking for other imput and let's be nice and thoughtful.

NO STUPID ANSWERS please.

While the men go scot free, crazy. For every abortion the man needs to be put down on the table with her and have one testicle removed. Women, wake up suckers!!!

Ok now that I have your attention......
We know all or at least some of our personal faults, right?
Well if you were locked in a room with two people (non gender/ religion/race/colour specific), and of those two people one was always pointing out your faults and completly ignoring their own, while the other always complimented you and told you good you were.
Which of these people would you prefer to be near all the time?

I caught the tail end of a news story on TV that reported that people who are more intelligent and attain higher educational statuses have fewer children. I just did a quick internet search on this, but I found no credible sources, mostly blogs. I want to know what people think about this issue and if they could direct me to some good related sources.

Do you think more intelligent people have fewer children?
If so, do you think this is detrimental to society?
Do you think intellectuall development somehow conflicts with the desire to reproduce?

All thoughts and opinions are welcome.

I am refering to an experience that I have every now and then, and I was wondering, if anyone else has the same kind of experience.

The "Here" and "There" experience:

This is how I feel most of the time. I am "here" and everything else is "there"....not that it is far away, but just that it is "there".

The "Here" and "Here" experience:

This is how I'd like to feel, but it only happens randomly every now and then, and only for a few minutes. All of a sudden I'll feel like I am "here" and everything else is "here". I feel like I am in the word. Everything appears a bit warmer in color. I almost feel like I am "touching" everything that I look at, but I'm not necessarily touching any of the things that I am visually taking in. I swear that I'm not on any drugs, nor have I taken any illegal drugs in the past, but it does sound like I'm on something, and that's why I was wondering, if anyone else has experienced this, and if they know anymore information about it.

I am an honest person who now knows that I am deeply in love with my wife, I have sort of failed to touch her heart before, would love to be able to make her realise this but someone else has touched her heart and she has been frank with me and not hidden anything and has come out of that (non existent) relation, she was really crazy for the past 3 months for this person, now she is trying her best to be a good wife but is finding hard to give me the love. She appreciates the changes in me and does adore me but something is stopping her from coming close to me. She has also sort of taken back and feels quite lethargic and I can tell that she misses this other person terribly in her mind but how can I help her? I have understood what she felt and even befriended this other gentleman and have spoken to him and he too admits that this is craziness but it is my wife who outwardly agrees but inwardly is grieving for something she can never be happy with.

I am useless to society. I don't like anything except sleeping, eating and love and being lazy all the time. I can't change myself. I am not a productive member of society. Should I think about suicide and not waste anymore of your oxygen and earth's resources?

Hitler commited suicide and no one stopped him.

Im curious about something. See when I was growing up, my dad always put me down by saying that I hung out with people younger then me. For example I would be 13 and have friends that are 11 or so then 14 years old, have friends that are 12. Now I'm 26, and feel that all my friends have to be my age or older. I hang out with people in their 40's and feel comfortable, and it seems that society is ok with it. Now if I want to live in a college dorm, they people would look at me funny and say that people in dorms ages are from 18-20, so why would you hang out with people like that? I'm like is there a big difference? My question is why do people look down at others who are friends with people who are younger?

Also it seems like the more conservative someone is, the more likely they would do this.
