I am refering to an experience that I have every now and then, and I was wondering, if anyone else has the same kind of experience.

The "Here" and "There" experience:

This is how I feel most of the time. I am "here" and everything else is "there"....not that it is far away, but just that it is "there".

The "Here" and "Here" experience:

This is how I'd like to feel, but it only happens randomly every now and then, and only for a few minutes. All of a sudden I'll feel like I am "here" and everything else is "here". I feel like I am in the word. Everything appears a bit warmer in color. I almost feel like I am "touching" everything that I look at, but I'm not necessarily touching any of the things that I am visually taking in. I swear that I'm not on any drugs, nor have I taken any illegal drugs in the past, but it does sound like I'm on something, and that's why I was wondering, if anyone else has experienced this, and if they know anymore information about it.

The "There" and "There" Experience:

When I'm sick, sometimes I feel like everything is "there", including myself. Everything happens around me, and I can interact with the world, but I don't feel connected with the world, and everything just happens, including my own actions. It's so wierd to feel that kind of disconnection, but totally amazing to see my body successfully perform actions. This experience is totally the opposite of the experience that I'm asking about.

Thanks!

Hmmmm, I can't say that I have. Have you ever described this feeling to a (no offense) psychiatrist? It's probably a more common experience than you know, but you would need to ask someone that is extremely knowlegable about the mind. I knew a girl who while on anti-depressants experienced a feeling of her body not being attached to her head, she described it as looking down at her body as it being in a "there" place while her head was in the "here" place. She only experienced while on her anti-deppressants,though..

Sometimes when I am very relaxed, with no wordly committement bothering me, and in a particular state of mind, I get this feeling, that I watch the whole world going about its business around me, and that I am not connected to it, but only an observer. To experience this you have to be a free spirit type nature.
