Maybe the housemates are being nasty to Mrs Popadom because she is nasty. Isn't it also racist to be nice and say nice things because the colour of their skin? NOTE: J.Jackson's coloured and nothing's said about him because he's not nasty!
If Shilpa was Welsh, she would be called Mrs Leek or Scottish she would be Mrs Haggis or American she would be Mrs Burger.
We all have names for peolpe we don't like and do like!

I get racist stuff evert time I goto England for being a Scot. I just don't get the hostility over a throw-away comment and if someone called me Mr Haggis as a jibe then I wouldn't like it but I'll live

Youre just as naive as Jade. There are a few reasons why they arent bullying Jermaine. He is a MALE! ie There are not threatened by him. Jermaine has not been vocal in the house at all and therefore puts himself in a position where no one needs to challenge him. ie he is non threatening.

Regardless of wether you believe there was Racism involved the actions of Jade and her little followers in the house they were deplorable. It is indeed bullying. They are treating Shilpa the way they are because they are threatened by her and do not understand her or her culutre. Only the lowest common denominator resorts to the kind of behaviour they have. Jade realises that Shilpa is a TRUE celebrity and an icon in her industry and feels insecure about the fact that her only claim to fame was taking all her clothes off on a reality show her insecurity is made all the more obvious by the amount of money she must have spent to look the way she does in the house, or maybe you believe she hit the gym hard? The irony of all this is that Jade will now be destroying the pseudo celebrity she had on the very same show she earned it as she could not hide her ugly perverse true self under the spotlight. The world is a beautiful place when the wheel turns.

Sadly enough though i genuinely feel sorry for Jade when she comes out because she will no doubt have to deal with a lot of abuse and possibly threats to her well being. All because she was thrust into conditions created by Big Brother which exposed her for the person she is.

The real criminal her is Channel 4 for allowing big brother to pursue these touchy subjects for as long as they have to gain maximum ratings pushes. Its a disgrace and i for one agree with Mayor Livingstone from London when he says Channel 4 should either lose or have their license suspended.

Jade is a product of her environment and poor education, but that does not excuse her behaviour. She is racist, she has made slurs and negative comments based on nothing but another persons ethnicity. No amount of apologist rationalising can negate that.
What angers me is that this unpleasant, unattractive person, totally devoid of any talent, with nothing to contribute to anything, is now very rich, because of our society's media-obsession.
The fact that she doesn't seem to realise that her celebrity is down to the fact she is a grotesque, and watched out of morbid fascination, is rather pathetic.
BTW, if anyone called me Mr Haggis, I would consider it racist, actually!

I think the problem is that society has conditioned itself into what we ought to be like and we have become far to politically correct, people jump on the band wagon shouting that we are racist. We aren't allowed to have a freedom of speech anymore. However when Jermaine Jackson calls jades mum white trailer trash (which she obviously is) no one blinked an eye, isn't that classed as racist? or is that different coming from a black guy?

Celeb BB needs to be given a burial at sea never to be seen again. And if you had ever suffered racial abuse. you would not have asked this stupid question. As for Jermaine, does he ever speak? He's like that Katie Holmes.

when someone is unpleasant you should be nasty to them with reference to the way they are nasty, not with reference to their national or racial heritage, so calling her a stuck up cow would be fine but racially based insults aren't.
