I am a senior in high school and with the arduous work of deciphering what college I would like to attend, retaking the ACT, looking for a job, filling out the FAFSA forms, keeping up my 4.3 GPA, staying focus and studying and maintaining my status as being the number one student in my senior calss, I rarely have no time to relax and enjoy life around me. I have had a couple of breakdowns. Despite, the fact that I have friends who encourage me from time to time, it seems as if I am continously stuck in a boring world. Again, what is the best way to relax and enjoy life ahead of you at a young age?

Sometimes people will tense their shoulders and kind of sink their head down in a prolonged shrug. Sometimes when people shrug like this, eye contact is not made and they bow their head down in the process.

I've realize that the shrug usually happens if the person is getting complimented or receiving attention (positive or negative).

Can anyone explain what this behavior means though? It's not an "I don't know" shrug, because it lasts longer. Does anybody know why people do this then?

Also, is it a particular behavior people frown upon or embrace?

First and foremost, I do not believe in Jesus Christ. I am not a religious person at all. And please, I do not want answers based from religious standpoints. What do you think happens when you die? Is it just over? Or do you think souls(energy) goes elsewhere into another dimension? If not, what about ghosts?? What are ghosts??

Or am I just being paranoid. Trying to talk with elitist people is like talking to a Stepford wife or child. They're so ingrained with the idea that they're so much better than everyone else, yet ignore the fact they're practically identical personality-wise to the people around them. It's like individuality is being outlawed and these people brainwashed by elitism are the blind enforcers of it. And it's not simply a wealth thing either. Seems like, class and/or race in America plays a role in it, too. Like Miss America in recent headlines having her actions rewarded with a Playboy offer, and the Texas "Mean Girl" cheerleaders taking advantage of their unwarranted privledges of being part of a reveered pack mentality. The same goes with sports, universities, fraternities, sororities, etc. Am I the only one noticing this plague? And for people who likely think I'm talking about them and want to get defensive... what makes this psyche so "justifiable" to you? Broad opinions are welcome.

It seems that all women that are caught up in women's studies sport mullets, don't wear bras, and are on the prowl for lesbian activities. Any truth to that?
