Being that I'm deaf I can answer that question in relation to people that could hear once and then lost their hearing later on in life and the answer is ... Yes. I can hear in my dreams just as well as you can hear in your dreams but that's probably because I was born being able to hear and did not lose my hearing until my early 20s.

However, those that were born deaf have a bit of a different experience while dreaming as they have no concept of what it is like to hear.

To understand how people that were born deaf experience their dreams you have to understand, first, what a dream is.

It's really all subjective, but when dreaming, we are replaying past experiences and/or memories and if one was born deaf, then one doesn't have a memory of sound to replay in one's mind but they do have, from their ability to see and feel, a sense of vibrations and stuff like that so they can equate that to sound.

I don't know if that makes any sense at all but I hope that helps a little.

I know that the problem of the deaf is that they don't really know silence. Most of them has buzz in the head all the time. Maybe they can have an idea of what the wind is like if explained.

Sure. Any physic or scientific theory don't really apply in dream land. It is possible for a blind man to see in his dream so it must be possible for a deaf man to hear as well. I have a blind friend who have nightmare from time to time. A better question is whether deaf people can hear in the hereafter. Sure wish they could.
