just wondering? i mean they don't really exist yet my friend is terrified of them. Like if a dog starts barking she will FLIP out! i want to relax myself, calm myself, and get my thought striaght and i was thinking maybe meditation.
Theres only one problem: im completley atheist and i am very firm and strong in my beliefs. i do not believe in a higher power or "giving in to any higher power" or anything of that nature at all.
All i want to do is be able to relax without smoking ten bowls of mary jane and i want to be able to think stright and remember things ( a basic thought clearing) but i how do i do that without some sort of spirituality or relighion?

Let me make this very clear: I DO NOT BELIEVE IN ANY HIGHER POWERS OR ANY POWERS WHATSO EVER. I AM COMLETELEY AGAINST THE IDEA OF SPIRITUALITY!!!!!

I work as a supervisor in a manufacturing factory. I always have to pass on information and give instructions to the workers as well as train them. On the other hand they have to report their job to me in paper form and in speech. Inside the factory, there are a lot of deaf workers. I find a difficulty to communicate with them effectively. Of course I don't know sign language. Some of them are very low educated or even never attend to any former school. They cannot understand any kind of language even their own mother tongue. Thus I can't even write those information on a piece of paper to let them know my notices. I never look down on them or refuse to communicate with them. May be some of them feel inferior about themselves, they refuse to communicate and cooperate with me. I want to treat them friendly instead of using my authority to force them to do the jobs. Can anybody tell me how to communicate with those deaf workers effectively?

It's the new year and resolution time again, and more specifically, it's break-your-resolution time again as well. And I already have.

I know this is a difficult question, and everyone's different blah blah blah. And I see the irony in asking how to beat internet addiction in an online forum. I just wanted any tips from people who have learnt to control the amount of time they spend on the net.

A little background and context. I'm naturally a tech geek. I'm also addicted to information and read many blogs regularly, constantly surf wikipedia, BBC news. I have god knows how many RSS feeds in my feed reader. And of course I waste even more time on Y!Answers and Y!360.

However, I can't just switch off my computer, or remove my broadband connection. I'm a PhD student and I need the connection and access to actually do my work (and I do have to do a lot of work at home).

Ideas?

Out of all the feminists I've met, (the really big ones) all beat down men. I admit we have our flaws, but thats no reason to condem us. What started as equal rights escalated into women being domanant or in charge. My question is, are extreamests poisoning a good cause? Where does womans rights overshadow EQUAL rights?

I just want to know, why women find us attractive. We go bald and get hairy at the same time, we have a penis, which is probably the ugliest part of our body, and are nowhere near as attractive as women and age better too. If I were a woman, I would be totally gay. Women are much more attractive then men, and So tell me, why?
