Actually reversing it -- causing global cooling -- would not be a good idea. What we need to do is reduce the effects our civilization has on the atmosphere, and let it heal itself. Mother Nature can get her housekeeping done if we stop getting in the way.

An old friend used to say there is hope for Mother Earth. If we would all join hands in brotherhood and GET THE HELL OFF, she would be fine! That may be an exaggeration, but you get the idea.

No, but, it seems to make for good arguments that we can. But, if it caused by the normal flight of Earth through space around the sun, then we have to wait until the Earth move back to a normal situation and then to a Global cooling condition. In other words this a cycle that requires 100's of years possibly 1000's.
IF, people want to believe this caused by man. Then everyone needs to stop driving a car and ride a bicycle. We need to close the Factories responsible, which means a lot of lost jobs. Then we would have to build more Nuclear/Hydro Plants to generate electricity. That just in the United States. Then we would need to convince China to do the same, who at this time keep building more Coal plants for electricity as they become more industrialized.
So, from point #1; No, we can not do anything but wait and that not happen within any one person's life.
From point #2; No, we can not do anything as I doubt even those that believe this "Point" (True or Not True) are NOT going to give up their car or Job at a Factory that cause this. And China sure not going to close Coal plants anytime soon that they just built for Millions. I know many will say we can go to electric cars, true why haven't we done this. Many places on the Web and in large Cities we can "BUY" electric cars!!!!! They there!!!! Why we talk and not do!!!!!

There are 2 theories about this:
1. Yes, just reduce greenhouse gases, stop paving the rainforests, etc. (This is the popular theory, & could very well be true)
2. No, global warming is a fact, but not a result of people's actions. The earth and nature are bigger than our actions. The earth has always had cyclical temperatures (several known ice ages), and this warming could just be a part of one of those cycles. There is not enough known about the world, & far too many unknowns, to say this is absolutely not true.
