I was interested in any books a lay person could read on how to deal with these manipulative/aggressive types of individuals. I ran into a book on-line called "Wolves in Sheeps Clothing" and it seems interesting. I read up on some reviews and they're very good with the exception that it does not give a lot of info on how to deal with these types of personalities. It seems to basically affirm that these type of people exist and if you're feeling crazy after dealing with them, don't because that's how they want you to feel. I posted this question before and the book given, "Base Instincts", is not what I'm looking for.

Animals dont have the sixth sense - the mind. If that is the case, why do animals go crazy/mad? Is it a mental retardation? How can they be mentally retarded if they do not have mind?

I just recently started helping my mom's friend of many years clean her home. She has a very nice home but you can't tell it. She is a shop-aholic in the worst sense. She is a millionaire who lives in a middle class neighborhood. She doesn't live like she has money at all EXCEPT for her shopping habits. She is unable to get around well because of horrible back trouble which has also led to obesity. So... she basically does nothing around her home except collect packages that she buys off the internet or QVC home shopping network. She has a bedroom FULL of unopened boxes & there are boxes lining the walls in all the other rooms in her home. I feel overwhelmed because she doesn't want to let go of anything. I feel I've bit off something bigger than I can chew but I really want to help her. I'm not helping her by letting her keep all the things she is buying. Any kind advice is appreciated. Thanks! I should add that I don't want her things. I just want her to live healthy.

This is a somewhat personal thing which is kinda hard for me to share in public, so I would appreciate it if you dont dismiss or ridicule it... thx.

Anyways, I am now 16 years old and basically I feel as if all my emotions have suddenly dissapeared. I can find something funny, be sad, or angry but those are not the types of emotions I am talking about.

I am talking about finding something beautiful like a view outside or a fresh feeling inside of me, things like that.

When I was in 9th grade (2-3 years ago) these things were at a peak and I felt really happy and good with myself, I was aware of these things and the feelings were really strong.

And then all of it dissapeared, and I have been searching desperately to get them back.

So naturally I have come up with several hypothesis as to why this is:

1. Lower fitness
2. I have lost a lot of the security you feel when you're older
3. Going beyond that sacred 13 year old age

There are more things, but no more characters left :(
