No, it's impossible. You can't do two things at the same time unless one of the two is an automatic movement, like folding up the laundry or eating. For example: you can watch tv and iron at the same time, but it's impossible to hang on the phone and talk to someone 'bout something and follow a show on tv at the same time. If you switch your brain from the phone to the tv constantly it's possible. But you'll never hear everything if you do it like that. And maybe you thaught drummers did several things at the same time, but they can only concentrate on one thing at the time. So the other things they do with their feet are automatic movements. Try conjugate the table of 12 and in the meantime draw a picture of a happy familly of rabbits.

I swear my husband can do 3 to 4 things at the same time but if you get in his way, LOOK OUT!! He has his own company and everyone comes to him for help. I worry that he will have a heart attack some day while doing things "his way"!!!

Of course! It's called multitasking. I have ADHD so I looove to multitask. Why, earlier today I was typing a message, at the same time writing down a recipe (sometimes being left-handed makes things easier).

Yes.

We were designed with that ability biologically, likely to ensure our survival.

How?
As human beings, many of us take many things for granted. For example, breathing, standing, running, thinking, blood flowing... See, I would list more here, but I've probably taken the rest for granted that I can't see it. I think you know where I'm going from here though, and that's what's important.

of course it is possible to do more than one thing at a time .Suppose you are cooking .While adding ingredients and stirring your food you might be talking to some one about some thing which is unrelated to your cooking .To do your work properly you must think properly about the subject .That is- to cook food you are thinking about whatever you are adding to it and whether you should stir or cover it or not and simultaneously you are thinking and talking about some thing else also.So you are doing two things at a time.
