I have a driving test coming up and am gripped by anxiety of it, what methods excluding the obvious illegal ones could I use to reduce these feelings and give me more confidence.

lay in bed tonight and in your mind, visualize every aspect of the test and how YOU want it to go, then just think of it from begining to end over and over. When you sit in the vehicle to do the test, just think of how you want it to go and concentrate on it!! and deep breaths help a lot too!! good luck, you'll pass for sure!!

You could try a couple of Calms tablets you get for nerves but make sure you try them well before the test. You need to be sure they don't mess up your reflexes.
The best exam technique is to treat the test as a practice. It doesn't matter if you don't pass the first time! Make sure you're well prepared and get your instructor to give you loads of mock practivce tests. That way you'll know what to expect, then just go for it and give it your best shot.
If you don't make it this time don't worry, it will tell you where you need to practice more before you try again.

Try Rescue Remedy - it's great - I glugged double the recommended dose before my test (on my driving instructor's advice!) and it worked really well.

Longer term, lots of practice around the town you'll be taking the test in... and rememebr that all the best people pass second time around!

Go along to your Dr? they may be able to give ypu somthing to help relax?
I remeber my Driving instructer once told me of a women he taught always failed due to nervous, he told her to go to Dr! Next Test she was calm as anything during lesson, Driving instructor say nothing as didnt want to knock it. She took test and passed. After he asked her if she been to Dr, she said no, she just hald half bottle of Vodka before leaving! I am not suggesting you get have a drink. But Dr can help with your nervous.

don't use the illegal ones you will be banned before you start.....the instructor deals with this situation every day and have a uncanny knack to chill you out

deep breaths...... in through the nose and out through the mouth. self belief with this and you will be fine you just have to stay calm and act cool
